  • For far too long, culture has falsely defined empowerment for us. Telling us who we are and what to live for. But in a world with so much brokenness, hopelessness, and lack of purpose, we are gathering a generation of young Black leaders who know Jesus has the power to flip the script - and have the audacity to believe He can! It’s time to ride with Jesus - and be carriers of his Gospel, filled with mercy, forgiveness, and love.
If you’re a young black leader who wants to walk in the empowerment of Jesus and see a real culture shift take place on your campus, join us for a united night of worship, prayer, activation, and training.

How does over emphasizing our differences in race glorify God in any way. I know that may not be the intention, but it’s very otherizing and no matter what you think about the state of our country, we are citizens of heaven and followers of Jesus before anything. God isn’t going to judge one group any different than another because of skin color . Everyone is a sinner who is nothing apart from Christ .

I mean absolutely no disrespect when answering this, I genuinely want to bring a new perspective to you. :)
You're absolutely right that as followers of Jesus, our unity in Him transcends all earthly distinctions. However, it's essential to recognize that our unique cultural backgrounds and experiences shape the ways we express our faith. Embracing our diversity in worship doesn't diminish our unity in Christ; rather, it enriches our collective experience of His love and grace.
In African American history, worship has been a powerful tool for resilience, healing, and community empowerment. By celebrating our cultural heritage in worship, we honor the legacy of those who came before us and create a space where everyone feels seen, valued, and included. This inclusivity opens doors for individuals who may not resonate with traditional forms of worship to encounter God in a meaningful way.
I don’t see that the program is about elevating one group above another; it's about embracing the beauty of our differences while affirming our shared identity as beloved children of God. I see this as an amazing opportunity to bring new hearts into the church :)
