I really hope Warpcoven get buffed again. The buff this past week wasn't nothing, but it was about the lightest touch I can imagine.
It won't be for at least 6 months now as they'll have to wait for stats from this change to roll in. Problem is it's a highly ignored team and the buffs weren't enough to draw new eyes to them 🤷♂️
Yeah man although the Warpcoven bump was welcome they’re probably gunna need another one to somehow make it to B Tier.
Remove the movement restrictions on Rubrics, and give away a ploy or two for zero CP like Exalted Astartes or Mutant Herd.
Giving away a ploy or two for free would make the team less CP hungry and just give them abilities more modern teams get out of the box as free abilities.
I like that Hearthkyn buff. I have no idea why they went with 7W and a 3+ save. Most of the other profiles in KT have some kind of relation to their 40k statline except for Hearthkyn.
It HAS to be for mechanical balance that just so happens to be incorrect. I struggle to imagine the hearthkyn began life at 7 wounds!
Wyrmblade player here, and I plan to main them through the end of the edition. Allowing “Writhing Ingress” to work on ITD would have too many knock-on effects for teams with similar abilities, but maybe a strat ploy that lets friendly models move and charge through each other would be interesting.

I really would like the Warpcoven to get freed of the psychic power restriction (one of each per turning point), I want to be able to double or triple Warp Portal operatives XD
How do you use warp portal? The fact the portalled guy counts as having moved makes it seem pretty redundant to me
@@ottoweininger8156 to move regardless of terrain (through walls (not in ITD)), or on a vantage point (soulreaper cannon for ex), or disengage one operative from engagement range (if he didn't move this turn)
@@HermitGray the way I've used it before is to portal guys through terrain onto victory points. But the disengage one is good, never thought of that. Planning on using warpcoven in my next games. Nice one!
Honestly, I prefer to use Warp Portal once per TP, but without no movement restriction after casting it.
The biggest buff to warp coven would be to give them free choice of tac ops archetypes. 3-1-4 or 3-2-2 with recon would be so solid. This would fix their biggest problem (secondary scoring being forced into security). The rubric buffs were a nice start but they still dont quite help 100% with their scoring
Yes that's true, giving them access to s&d would also make the team a bit easier to play which couldn't hurt
I think Chaos Cult could be balanced by changing the Mutation healing from 1d3+1 to 2d3. Then instead of getting full health when a Devotee > Mutant or Mutant > Torment they automatically regain those 2d3 Wounds as part of the mutation.
You could also stagger the number of free mutations by 1 Turning Point.
You could also change the Wounds to be Devotee 6, Mutant 8, Torment 10.
There are a lot of possible solutions.
I agree, many possibilities! It'll be interesting to see which way they go as the devs try to be as economical with their changes as possible

I wonder if you could balance Chaos Cults by limiting the number or mutants and torments they can have during the game? For example, no more than 3 torments or 5 mutants total, or some such restiction. The team still has its flavor but now "upgraded" operatives are a finite resource that cant be used recklessly.

I like your proposed change to FelGors (don't have any input on other teams other than it sound reasonable), but don't you think saying "Frenzy cam only be activated if you performed a fight action during your last activation" would be a clearer and more effective phrasing ?

Oh sure, I hadn't thought my wording out on frenzy too specifically, just the intent of stopping the abuse!
Wyrmblade can be improved by making Infiltration tacos easier to score. They are currently the only bespoke team that has to use Infiltration tacos (because they are not suited for S&D)
As mentioned in my server, this us a good idea in concept but I imagine might have quite a few knock on effects for every team that can run infiltration!
Probably not as damaging as you think, since those teams tend to be able to run Recon and/or S&D
We'll only be bringing Infiltration up to the level of those other tacos

Make the dog free if you take the leash master, semi adding an additional model to the team. Breaks the one box solution GW like to stick to. GA2 ability on shield guys similar to breach & clear in breachers.
I think just allow the dog to always be taken is a good start. But not in inquisition!

been playing warp coven a bit (got gifted a box of Rubric marines) an i quite like them,but of course i only play with friends an i guess we don't use teams to full potential....i love the soulreaper cannon its seems way better than the csm gatling gun

If you want print then you need the kill team Annual 2022. But I'd strongly recommend just using wahapedia.

Until Chaos Cults die down we won't really know, but I did see in the last big Polish event 2 people ran inquisition and placed very well!

I would love to see some anti-elite tools for Warp Coven, especially when there's so many Intercessor players around. It doesn't have to be plasma or melta, but at least some shooting spell, which could be equivalent for them. BTW, when you look into stats, warp coven offensive spells are so disappointing. Yeah, Firestorm has indirect, but with one inch blast and 2/2 dmg. It' literally nothing, even against hordes.. . Also, spells like warp portal would need some buffs, to be less niche - maybe removing no movement restriction after teleportation? Idk, but i hope GW will finally see there are actually a lot of Warp Coven enthusiast waiting for any changes.

Andy, I really don't like this strategy of clickbait video titles. I recognise this is a thing you have been escalating slowly, but you are now titling videos with actual lies. Please don't do this; your content is good and high quality and doesn't need this kind of thing to attract views.
So, clickbait is mandatory on CZcams and unfortunately that's a "don't hate the player, hate the game" situation.
However, if you can't see the legitimate concept proving nature of me titling a video this way, then I don't know what to tell you. This isn't clickbait, it's a lie. A lie done to prove the concept of how one can instinctively decide which teams are under powered when considering the balance of the game going forward
