- I was ready for vegetables, and this squash and lima beans dinner was the key. The squash was buttery, the beans creamy, and the hamburger with onions and gravy, over the top delicious. I hope you will try this and let me know if you do. There is really no recipe, just instructions.
Enjoy!

Combine hamburger, egg, breadcrumbs, parsley, onions, salt & pepper. Make into patties. Place in skillet and cook until browned. Add about a tablespoon of butter to pan while frying. Add beef base, garlic base, stir until combined. Add brown gravy mix, small splash of balsamic vinegar, beef broth or water. Add pepper and check taste for salt. Stir together until almost thickened. Add hamburger to gravy. Let simmer on lowest setting 45 - 60 minutes. Stir occasionally, checking to be sure gravy is not too thick. Add liquid if needed. - Jak na to + styl

Everything always looks so wonderful, as this does. Think I have everything except the squash - but it’s on my grocery list now! I love squash and onions. This will be a meal this week. I like seasoned bread crumbs too! Thank you😊

Happy Mother’s Day💜
Looks delicious Karen I don’t use seasoned because of the salt content 😁
Your meal looks soooo good! All the spring and summer foods that I love and look forward to in summer! All that’s missing is sliced tomatoes with mayonnaise and salt and pepper! lol!
My grandmother used to stew squash, I believe she used something called patty pan squash.
I agree with you pepper tastes sooo good on vegetables, oh and butter!
Happy Mother’s Day Karen!!
I would have to add mushrooms. This meal looks delicious!
Happy Mothers day
My North Carolina Aunt Marie would make yellow squash casserole that was so good with Ritz crackers and onion. My brother and I loved it so much. Before he died, I made a big batch of it for him, and he bragged and bragged on it. I was so happy to see him enjoying his food. Thank you for inspiring all of us! Happy Mother's Day dear friend!
I love this kind of squash casserole. I use Ritz crackers also. I'm so sorry for your loss but so happy you made it for him. ❤️
@@KarenJonesFoodFamily we all need to remember to thank God for every single day ♥

Meal looks so good!
You are so sweet . Your dishes are always so comforting . Ha , I was wondering about the corn . Have you ever cut it off the Cobb and fried it ? Just wondering . You are always pleasant to watch in the kitchen , and I learn from you . Happy Mother's Day To You Tomorrow . See you next time .
I think I have seen her do fried corn. It’s a pretty southern thing to do. I like to make creamed corn in the summer when there is too much corn around. It may involve bacon grease or not. I’m in south ga.
@@michaelweeks2973 Ok Thanks .... Ar here , and fry corn for a tasty side dish . I do add bacon grease to mine .
Hello! Happy Mother's Day! Where did you get those jumbo size big glasses for the iced tea?
I have had these glasses for many years. I probably got them at Walmart. I really don't remember. ❤️❤️
How long do you cook the lima beans. Thanks
I love every one of your outfits. Could you let us know (link?) where you get your clothes???
Thanks! Happy Mother’s Day!
I get most at Amazon, Belks, Zulilly or even Walmart. Thank you. Happy Mothers Day ❤️
Is that squash out of your garden? Happy Mother’s Dayy
No, I bought that from a local market. ❤️
With that accent I heard baby LLAMA beans. 😆😆
Wish you could put your camera in a different place where we could see better what you’re doing. Love your channel. Maybe set it where the corns at
I wish too, but the way my countertop is made it won't work, I've tried it. ❤️
Mom made all9 childen could make gravy wateror canned milk I'm 84old
Did you ever hear of adding milk to the water that you’re going to boil your corn in? I grew up only knowing that way.
I've heard of it but never done it. Interesting! ❤️
Hi ....Happy Mothers Day . I don't know if you remember me or not but I asked you if you could help me with cooking understanding things, and you replied yes you would like to. Well the question I have is when recipe uses dice ..I always thought dice is small cube like. But from what I read and see in videos they use dice to mean ......like they say i will dice this sausage and they just slice it into coins and said they diced it. Or say lets dice up this and it turns out to be a what I do for a chop . Southern' people use dice in place of chop is what i see ??? Is that possible? Could you please give me your feedback on what you say dice means to you .ThankYou Again.
i
Yes, I remember you. When I say dice, I mean and think smaller chop. When I say chop or think chop, its the larger chop. As you described the sausage, that's slicing, not dicing. I hope this helps. ❤️❤️
@@KarenJonesFoodFamily I asked someone a while back and they said they use chop and dice interchangeably.... Do you agree ? I know what you just wrote to me, and i agree i just remember this and should of included in the above question. Thanks again
You can, yes. I just use dice for smaller and chop for larger. That's the way to distinguish the two. Otherwise, how would you know.
@@KarenJonesFoodFamily just clearing the air maybe I didn't say it right they use" dice" to indicate that they sliced the sausage instead of "chop" the the sausage . I hope that makes sense.( thats what they said to me . )
@@lulu22422 dice and sluce are different things. Slice the sausage would be cutting it into the rounds. Dice would be chopping into small pieces.
Of course we're going to add some butter❣️😆😅🤣😂
No butter
