It's like getting a ticket for warming your car up in the winter time. I got a "puffer ticket" with the car 50ft from the street, in MY driveway on MY property, the door locked and me in the warm house.
By that logic, anything I own that's worth stealing I should get a ticket for.

Something about this conversation that sparked a memory that I would like to share. And this story comes with a little bit of a history lesson. Now, I am a former railroader, I may have mentioned that on another one of your CZcams videos. Now, back in the 1960's, throughout the 1970's on up until 1989. Railroad services all over the United States a lot of times would park their motive power, the engines, that is, in the downtown area. Now, a lot of the reason why railroad services did that is because the engineer would live in town, some of the time kinda close to where the motive power is parked. The railroad would build a spur in town and let engineers store the motive power there. Engineer would get up in the morning and start it up and run it to work. Up until 1989 the railroad services all over the country let the engineer park the motive power in town and people would not mess with it, some people would drive right by the equipment and never realize that there is a train parked there. All of a sudden in 1989 teenagers started knocking the windows out of the locomotives. That was happening all over America.

Kenny, when i was seven my mother ,sister and I were walking past the local hardware store where the owner had a couple of peck baskerts setting out with plums,grapes and apples in them. i snagged a plum and plopped it into my mouth... before i could taste it my ear was almost twisted off. Without releasing me my mother dragged me into the store and bypassed everyone that was in line to anounce to the store owner and all others that she caught someone starling from him!! I was super em,barrased and my ear hurt so tears were streaming down my cheek. the owner said it was ok no big deal..~~ mother told him i would be back Saturday for him to work my azz off to make me pay and remember. POINT TAKEN ps I no longer eat plums. Keith

Tik Tok video showing people how to use a USB cable to start Kia/Hyundai by removing the ignition device. No anti-theft device to prevent them to start the car. That's why some insurance companies don't want to cover certain model years from 2012 to 2020. My family own Kia vehicles and bit concerned about it. Consequences follows. Fobs is a device to open and closed doors and start from outside the car.

Back in the day GM refused to put a bar in their vehicles for roll overs because it would cost the consumer $1000 more for a $100 part.

If you rob someone at gun point. Life in prison, no parole, you rape or murder someone, death penalty, and no sitting in death row for 15 years. You get 2 days after sentencing and then you get put down. The country is too soft in crime. You are exactly right Kenny. Also people seem to forget. Your credit cards have a chip in them that a thief can scan if you don't shield them, the same goes for your car's key fob chip. Scan readers in the wrong hands create mayhem. One simple solution, is to get a feradey box for at home storing. For other solutions I think it'll more fun to do the research for one's self and then decide the best fit.

Kia are originally from Korea not Japan. My dad has a hyundai that had a recall to fix the theft issue on it. Surprised the insurance company isn't suing
