I Find the best way to remove the seeds is to freeze dry the berries, rub them through a fine mash colander. No product is lost. I keep the seeds for nutrition and or planting. Yes, they still germinate. And I don’t have to destroy the raspberries in a boil. I can’t keep the powder and mix it with raw honey.
hi Risa, I want to make my rasberry jam. I bought 3 small containeres of rasberries, and i have pectin sure jell and lemon . how do i know how much sugar to use and how much pectin and lemon???
The recipe I used called for 8 cups and by the time I strained the seeds out, I had roughly 6 cups. The recipe also called for 6 cups of sugar. It's very good, and not too sweet.
Have found that going right to the cheese cloth after boiling works good. No seed get though. 4 layer of cloth works good. Nice clean juice.
Awesome, I’ll do that next time.😊
Yummm raspberry jam is my fave!!
One of ours too, and it was very easy to can.😊

That's a great idea! ☺️
Lovely Red Jam Risa 🎉😊
Thank you, and thanks for watching.♥️
Hint use a ladle instead of of a coffee cup and it’s still messy but not as bad
Awesome, thank you for the tip.☺️

This is brilliant! Thank you for sharing! Did you end up with 6 cups raspberry juice to decide the 6 cups of sugar?
