  • CAMILLUS U.S. MILITARY UTILITY KNIFE (Camillus also sold this as the #1760 Camp Knife to the civilian population). Also sometimes called the "DEMO" Knife. Starting in 1958, Camillus started making these checkered stainless steel handled utility knives for the U.S. goverment for issue to soldiers, Marines, and Navy hospital corpsman. Before that, during world war two, they were constructed with bone stag handles, and steel mounts, and carbon steel blades. Some had shields marked with the branch initials. Early stainless ones had a thumb stud on the caplifter blade. Camillus stopped making the current ones around 2007. They are starting to get collectable. All have year of manufacture on the blade tang. Make great gifts for year of birth. Made in U.S.A.
Known Issue: Brittle back springs break if both blades on same spring are opened half way at the same time...so don't do that! If opened one at a time they work fine without issue. Thank you for watching! If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comment section below.
    Specifications:
    Blade Length: 2.75" Spearpoint Blade
