I have an Ancheer foldable that I use to get my 6 yr old to the bus stop and back every day. I live on a dirt road(sugar sand part of the way) it does very well. I'm 72 going on 35 and raising grandkids. This bike carries my 200lbs. easily and even gets that gallon of milk, that is 3 miles away with no sweat. love the bike and should have got one years ago. I've had this one about 6 months now with no issues.

He is not using the pedal assist correctly in this video. You don't have to touch the throttle just change the mode . On the left handle bar you would press the + sign to cycle through the different pedal assist modes at the highest mode you can go up to 20 mph...I do own one by the way!

Can you go faster than 20mph if your pedaling? I’ve heard some bikes only throttle at 20mph but with pedaling you can go 40mph easy.
Mine is currently being shipped but I hear this one will go about 30mph before the gearing in the motor starts holding it back. Careful going 30-40 on a bicycle though, especially one that doesn't have fat tires.

@@vegasromaniac yes i went over several other diy plans, videos , and guides over the past 3 years. Nothing really beats this ancheer model by more than a few dollars, and you would lose the benefit of having a central supplier and most assembly with parts made to fit.

With the speed these can go. Make sure your brakes are good. Most bike shops build them and grease / oil the internal brake cable. There are devices that can clamp on to the brake cable and inject oil from a can. Grease will make the brakes work much better.

Just got mine and put it together in about an hour but still needs tightening. It was broken down more than the one on video as the seat and post
we’re separate as was the handlebar post and kickstand which threw me because I’ve never seen a kickstand attach to the tail. I watched this video to see what I might have missed. Very good video to watch because the directions suck with photos you can’t make out and misspelled words very typical of Chinese products. It started raining as I finished up and is forecast to rain the next 3 days so I’ll take my time to get it right.

Bought this bike three days ago, the automatic go worked for two days now day three doesn’t work at all, pedal assist still works thankfully.
maybe a loose wire, chekc the connection box in front of the rear wheel make sure all plugs work

If the disk is bent really easy to fix, if the inside pad is too close to the disk, Allen wrench will adjust that

I agree with you there! i want one for the same reasons, only the guys that have money to burn will pay those hi- prices can drop 3000 to 6,000 without thinking about it, that's why i was gonna wait until most of the "big money guys buy a bike then i will buy one maybe by then the price will be reasonable

I got mine today. Everything is fine. It looks really good for it´s nice price.
To us in Germany it comes with the throttle seperated. The throttle is not mounted onto the handlebar. Horn and light got different knobs and are on the left side.
I guess they don´t mounted the throttle because of restrictions by law in Europe? I´m not sure. Pedeling assist works great so far.
There goes a wire out of the not mounted throttle but nowhere a description how to mount it. I guess it have to plug the wire into the black box am I right? I don´t open it yet but I don´t find else any fitting plug onto the bike. Could you tell me if the wire of your throttle goes into the box?

I really like your videos. I just bought an ancheer electric folding bicycle which is the sane as this except for battery hanging off handlebars and ability to fold up. I am confused as to the function of the right gear shifter as it has - or + on dial not numbers to indicate what gear to shift in. Can you or members explain shifting front and rear while riding. I can't find anything on the internet explaining this.
How do I get it to slow down. I want to go at a nice biking speed with just a little assist. However in low mode, 1 light, as soon as I start peddling it takes off.

My new ancheer bike just like this one , only 3 weeks old, On mine the motor wire is on the other side , the kickstand side. All the videos i see are like yours the motor wire comes out on the flywheel side, the wheel and motor are reversersed on mine, the screws on the motor are on the brake disk side NOT the flywheel side. The motor on mine went out after 3 weeks under warranty getting a new one soon., i have 185 miles on my bike the last 30 miles have been put on by pure muscle.
Is it possible to add a second battery by just plugging it in or would you have to cut and re-wire ?

You can buy new Dolphin and Water Bottle batteries to replace the stock battery. If the connector on the battery is wrong for the bike connector, you should be able to have an adapter fashioned by a local shop that handles automotive electrical systems or a local bike shop that works on bicycle electrical systems. Only one battery at time should be connected. The critical thing to look for in buying a new battery is the voltage. If you have the 36v bike, the replacement battery needs to be 36v.
The stock battery plugs into one of the connectors on the controller inside the black box on the seat tube. unplug the battery from that connector to change the mounting adapter. The new battery will plug into that same connector on the controller.

I just recd my Ancheer and am having an issue with my front wheel rubbing against the round thing(flat disk inside spokes). You mentioned spacers when you were putting your front wheel on. Are those the black plastic things that came with the tool pack? Any assistance you can give me is greatly appreciated!! Thanks for posting this video!!

Great vid, I have the same bike, Love it Except ....... My throttle doesnt work At All! I want to use Throttle only....yes it will drain the batt faster but.... My throttle is dead. Think its a wiring issue? or would I have to order a new throttle? I heard some didnt get hooked up from the factory.
Yeah open the box next to the wheel up and see if it works. Also make sure you out it in throttle mode on the controller on the handlebar. No light on low med high mean throttle mode

Just got mine delivered today, but the throttle is not assembled (some thing to do with road use in UK). Can you/ or someone tell me where it plugs into so I can have an easier ride off road? Good vid by the way.
+Derek Thomson mine came assembled, you should have a manual Chinese or whatever the pictures should give you all the info you need. I'll look at mine when I get home but mine looks like a long wire plugged in to the box behind the rear wheel

It's should have come already connected. I would use a volt meter to test that throttle tube. I can't help you with a video, I already sold the bike

Make sure pedal assist is off. Press "-" till all three LEDs are dark, then twist the throttle.

I just bought the same bike and had to take it to the bike shop cause I did not have the strength to tighten everything. They charged me $85 for a tune up. I charged the battery overnight and no pedal assist. The bike shop did not touch the battery or wires to see if the wires were connected. I'm charging the bike now and hopefully I can ride it as intended. We will see. Right now, it us just an ordinary bike. No electric assist. No full throttle. But the bike light works perfectly. The horn an speedometer doesn't work either. 😥 Can you please give me some tips on what to do? Thanks.

You may be right. I just got answer from ancheer customer service department and they also suggest to pull off the speed limiter cable. In Spain throttle are ilegal so the bikes sent here come with that part apart in case someone doesn't care to be fined by police. Pedal assist should also cut at 25 kms/hour. That may be the problem been mid and high levels fix to 25 kms/hour. Pity that ancheer did not make a more progressive assist level for Spaniards. Still running. Great value for money. It is possible to activate the high modus and get speed of 30 to 35kmh by cutting a wire. But it's not allowed in Germany so it is not a fault by the bike or it's manufactor.
What model is this Ancheer bike? They seem to have many different models.
RoManiac, I purchased this bike after seeing your videos. Bought this from Amazon and got it assembled at my local bike shop. On my first ride, I noticed the motor makes struggling noises and cuts off during pedal assist. And on full throttle, no power at all. Then comes back again after a few seconds. This got progressively got worse and finally got to a stage that the motor does not come back for a good 5 minutes. After 2 days, it is impossible to ride this bike. Very frustrating. Ancheer company is not being helpful. They asked for videos and photos which I provided and they are not responding with any solutions. Since you are the world expert in this it seems, could you help us figure out what the problem is and how to fix it. Will provide my e mail and contact details if needed. Please help and advice. Many thanks.
Warning: I have the 500 Watt 26" version. PAS1 goes 18mph and they won't fix it. Better not count on warranty, all they do is talk. Also had a DOA freewheel I had to fix myself. You get a bike, if it works, great. If not, you're on your own.
