As a villa fan, Spurs fans needed this humbled. Don’t make mistake, you didn’t have your best performance of the season against Villa. First half was pretty equal and in second half you had a 5 minute spell against a team that had played 3 days before in Europe. After that we were one player down and game was over.

Spursy is a term used to describe how Tottenham get into great positions in semi finals and finals only to fall at the final hurdle. They have so much potential every year but keep losing games when it matters most or going out of the cups to lower league teams.

I've been a Spurs supporter for over 60 years beginning with Bill Nicholson as manager. Apart from his great side, what has always been consistent is their inconsistency. They've always had teams some tremendous players but never a squad with 15 or 16 top players.
