Yeah, both Gvardiol and Liva were fully robbed.
Idk if you're Croatian fan but I must disagree.
Gvardiol got easly destroyed by a 35yo Messi and Alvarez did what he wanted with them.
A 3-0 is such a categorical result. Livakovic's mistake led to Messi's penalty, which he was unable to stop.
On the other hand, Martinez saved many many penalties to literally win the world cup.
It's obvious that both Livakovic and Gvardiol were great players this WC and performed really well, but those mistakes are putting them below Argentinian players.
@user-yy8cj1xs2m umm nope. Gvardiol didn't get destroyed, Messi got past him once and assisted which also happened only bc Lovren turned off and left Alvarez alone. Losing one duel to the GOAT isn't something to degrade a performance. Livakovic mistake didn't lead to the pen, Alvarez running into him did. He did well there. And while martinez saved many penalties, Livakovic saved more. He had better save percentage, more pens saved and more overall saves. He also had 52% long ball accuracy and martinez had 17%. Every stat Livakovic shat on Martinez, who was by xG stopped stats actually the worst keeper of the tournament. The "but they won the wc" also means nothing as this is the individual award, if Croatia had messi, di maria and refs they'd done the same.
Messi was the best player at tournament and one of the best players in the history. So if he passed Gvardiol Messi just show his class, any other defense players cant stop Messi... Gvardiol's reputation cant be destroyed by best WC player, only if some worst player done that. And why Enzo Fernandez?? What did he? He even wasnt played from first minute in 2 games.

Nah sorry Gvardiol is a great defender but Enzo Fernandez was by far the best young player this tournament, he went from being a bench player to a starter and being one of the most important pieces for reaching the final and winning it.
