The HAL Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) is an Indian multi-role attack helicopter, designed and manufactured by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for high altitude warfare.
Also known as HAL Prachand Helicopter.
The LCH has been ordered by the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Indian Army. Its flight ceiling is the highest among all attack helicopters.
The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) met under the Chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 30 March 2022 in New Delhi. The CCS has approved procurement of 15 Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) Limited Series Production at the cost of Rs. 3,887 Cr along with Infrastructure sanctions worth Rs. 377 Cr.
Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to formally induct the indigenous light combat helicopter (LCH) at the Jodhpur air force station on October 3 before Airforce Day on October 8.

IMRH is medium category helicopter, just like Mi-17. Isko future me Indian Air Force ke Mi-17 ko indeginious helicopter se replace karne ke liye bana rahe hai.
Aur probably uspe based medium combat helicopter bhi banega like Rudra Helicopter.
Secondly regarding Ka-31 no official confirmation yet, but I don't think we will cancel it because our aircraft carrier can't operate early warning aircraft like E2D so we have only 2 option Ka-31 or Sea King based system which is old, 3rd option is indeginious with ALH MK-3 but it's light weight helicopter.
