Down to the factory hood ornament! I loved this body style the hood ornament let you see how much the hood sloped when you drove these trucks! My very first brand new Chevy truck was a 91 extended cab with a 350 and 5 speed stick shift, an automatic was a option back then! Now their all automatics on the lot! Mine was two tone, bright blue and dark gray in the middle! I just got married I test drove this truck and a brand new 454 SS my wife told me it was my choice, I picked the extended cab because I wanted kids, but I wanted that new 454 SS so bad, we didn’t have a lot of money so this would be the only vehicle I could afford!
It's exactly how I'd build one. Well, I'd probably go for every handling upgrade available, 17" billet truck rallys, and a nasty N/A LS with a 6-speed. I like drag racing, but I almost never do it. Fun on country roads is what I like.

The truck doesn’t even spin off the line it just bows up and goes like an old dog that tucks it’s tail and hauls ass. I love it it’s.

I have been street racing since I was 15. My dad let me race his sleeper '73 Olds Delta 88, 350cid the gold rocket engine and a 4bbl carb. It was a heavy car, but I won a lot of races with it. I now street race my sleeper 2010 Silverado 1500. I have a Spectre cold air intake, Spectre throttle body spacer, Flowmaster Catback duel exhaust and a friend tweeked the computer. It went from 315hp to 425hp. When I smash gas when I'm racing, it locks my seatbelt. I always put it in 4wd and turn on the trailering button on the gear shifter when I race. With the front end torque, my truck launchs like a rocket. I have won a lot of races with my truck.

@@Memphisgrindtv agree'd. People have been making sleeper drag pick-up trucks decades before the farmtruck hit the TV. Hell as a kid the neighbors had a early 70's blown big block chevy that was ugly and rusty looking. Even had dented up tailgate and bed rails. You only noticed the wide rear 50 tires on the back and heard the blower whine!

I think we all knew expected nitrous in the tool box, but I didn't expect it to pull the front wheels as hard as it did. Pretty sweet.
Pulling tires? All in the chassis set up. Hell my 11.90 65 stepside would pull tires. It's all in the chassis. (Not disrespecting this truck in anyway!! Bitch is moving!!) Come on down exit 24 on I-16 to Middle Georgia Motorsports Park MGMP (also known as Twiggs buy us old dogs) and get you some!!

Hidden bottle in the toolbox but purging 47 times out the hood lol.
You've gotta purge it down so it only gives like half the HP it's rated for , track can't handle it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@MrTheHillfolk you purge the line to clear it of any air/water/debris that is in the line. If the track can handle 2500hp it can handle 800

I’ve had a bunch of Chevy trucks, and every damned one dropped its headliner the first time I went over 30 with the windows open.
Wayne Gacy II the speed rating isn’t high enough on those tires you mentioned but I bet it rolls around on those when it’s not dressed for the track

Love the way this old chevy moves down the track.
Did nearly the same in a 74 Cheyenne Super with a 454. It had full wheel covers on it when it was bought. Slicks on plain steel wheels with those same wheel covers. Didn't yank the front tires but man was it fun. 3500 Converter, 150 N2O, 4.56s, Lingenfelter modified Strip Dominator, Comp Cam all on the stock cast pistons. It embarrassed a few cars, ESPECIALLY a certain 69 Z28.

Sounds like a small block with big block cubic inches, wish I knew what kind of mufflers he's running, love how quiet it sounds.
Most of the "quiet" is the software of the camera, compensating for the sound level.

This is like the nicer and Chevy version of my 79 dodge I’m building hope to have it done this summer. Title of the vid is what caught my attention and it was exactly what I expected I’m going the same thing with my tool box but I went with one from a dodge Dakota and it actually fits between the bed rails and can still be opens from the sides then I plan to hid it and the fuel cell door at the back of the box with a taneau cover or maybe a topper

I had an 86' Chevy short bed with a built Smallblock w/nitrous but it wasn't anything like this beast. it was a fun sleeper but not as bad as this.

Clean c10, I have a virgin 90k mile '85 hiding in the barn.
Something is wrong with that truck. When I owned one of those the 305 would almost get it to 83mph with a brick on the gas pedal. They must've put one of those K&M air filters on it to make it go that fast.
