- In this video we fit a new intercooler pipe to the 1JZ, change the ride height, and convert the throttle to be operated wholly by the cable attached to the pedal.

There’s a throttle body reset procedure for these. Mine needed it after fitting the Premium Japan kit.
Sit in the driver seat and put foot to the floor on acc pedal. Switch key to on for 30s. You should hear humming from the TB. Switch key to off then release acc pedal.
Me absolutely screaming at the tv as the magnetic tray was stuck to the metal beam on the garage wall😂

The throttle blade movement when only at the top of the linkage sweep is a failsafe for when the dbw motor fails, so you can still use 10% throttle.

I used to have a jzx100 and it still had an etcs secondary throttle body which did traction control and snow mode switches as well as smoothing under normal driving. I dont remember it looking exactly like the one on yours here, but I always had to unplug the etcs before I went drifting as even though youd turn it off, it would still do traction control things. I dont remember it being particulaly intrusive under normal driving though. Hope youve got this all sorted by now.

Want to see what you think of the m2 on the track. Drove one on the track yesterday. To fast for my brain. I did LS400 swap on my IS300 and the issue with them was finding performance pads.

With that hard flutter noise, it kinda sounds like the boost control solenoid might have been bypassed ?
Look into that. Might be causing issues.
Also the aftermarket boost controller with the spaghetti mess of vacuum lines. Might be worth deleting, and just running factory waste gate pressure.

I once put a bigger throttle body on an old honda i had and it accelerated fine but when i came completely off the throttle it felt like it was still trying to accelerate, i wonder if that weird setup on your toyota is actually for that car? What i mean is, maybe the 2jz has a similar setup but slightly bigger throttle and someone put the 2jz one on instead for more 'gainz'? I've never owned a toyota and the only turbo car ive owned was a gc8 impreza, so this is not my expertise, but just a thought.

The double throttling is 'emissions' non-sense. It's intentional - When the throttle slams shut it causes excessive "emissions".
