This was my second dive of the spiny lobster season which starts either late September/early October until March.
We were only able to catch one spiny lobster that was keeper size this outing. Note, we don’t use scuba to catch these bugs. We only hold our breath and catch them by hand.

securitying waterproof 1000 lumens XM-L2 on Amazon. It's a bit too bright tho. Scares a lot of bugs away

Hey, crystal cove beach close at 10:00 pm !!!.... I was planning to camp there for the summer but Corona CCP virus happen. The last time I scuba was about 12 year ago. If you are planning to for slopster diving again....me and my son would love to join you... I will have to get my lopster card and try hood net first. I hear long beach brake water may a good place to slopster !!! I am Vietnamese.
