Commander Hayes Theme Music [New HQ Remastered Cover] from Star Control 2

- I was feeling nostalgia for Star Control 2 - The Ur-Quan Masters (1992 video game), so I made a high quality cover version of "Starbase Commander" - the theme music of Commander Hayes. The music is played whenever the player's Precursor starship docks in the starbase near Earth.
This song was originally published as a 4-track MOD track named "star contol2,tune4". "4 tracks" means that at most 4 instruments, or "samples" could have been played at once. These were 8 bit samples and therefore of lower quality, but still I used to love playing this song (and other MOD tracks) on my Sound Blaster using my MOD player (and later, s3m player).

The DAW I used for this MIDI remake is Reaper. I used mostly retro instruments in order to stick to the original spirit of the tune, while giving it my own personal touch.

listening to this again, there's a bit of an error with the drum fill at 1:55, it adds an extra quarter-measure
