Jason, do you still have these fenders? And do they make a wide version? Are they removable?
I do still run the fenders and love them. These are the wide version and yes they are removable.
@@AutoEdits Thanks! Love your channel.
Love your attention to detail, and ability to show camera angles properly so we can actually see what you are doing. Thanks!
I think the step up design is a great way to add clearance, very cool. And looks are even pretty good. Great video to boot.
I recognized the background in some of your videos. Your Jeep looks great! I drive a 2000 TJ on 35" KM2's and we wheel a lot of the same runs. Keep the videos coming.
Man I am so looking forward to your lift kit install. I check your channel every day! This Jeep is very cool and can't wait to see the mods as they happen. Thanks for posting.
Thank you so much for watching and taking a minute to say hey!
I'm a student from China and a big fans of the Jeep Wrangler. I think your videos are the best videos I've ever seen before!!!Looking forward to your next video.

Awesome to hear, thanks so much for saying hey!
Jeep wave back!
badass flares but damn the inside aluminum shielding looks tacky as all hell.
you make the best videos. keep up the awesome work!!!
CAN'T WAIT for the next vid.. keep it up!
Hopefully soon!
AWESOME! One of your best videos.
Howdy POP! Glad you checked it out!!!
Very happy to have found your channel, I've really enjoyed your videos. My question here, are these the Standard, Narrow, or Wide flares?
that is some tuff fenders and you made the install look easy. good job brining us this video. I have to ask again you said something about large marge I have not forgotten that project so huh still waiting.
+Joe Moreno Large Marge will be back in the mix soon! Just got some important parts for the steering.
Following this is kinda fun. I love those fenders! Kinda regret going with the XRC armor after seeing yours. Very nice!
+Strikerage Thanks, I was looking at the XRC stuff and it's pretty tough looking stuff!
I just liked the look. But really nothing beats Metalcloak right now.
I'm always finding myself always watching your vids I think your jeep looks pretty sick iv got the same jeep rubicon.
Thanks for checking out the videos! Congrats on our Rubicons!
"and that is a GREAT idea, but I'm not going to do it."
Haha sweet videos. I hope I get to put money into my JK someday.
I was able to install the passenger side inner without doing any cutting. The harness can just be routed between the aluminum piece and the firewall.
Fantastic video!!
I think I would paint those inner fenders. I know they wont rust or anything, I just dont like the look of them in silver. Those fenders are awesome.
+Stuka87 You might be right...they are pretty bright. Once I get the rears on next week, I'll give it the final eye!!!
Great video to explain the install
A tip for easier drilling through sheet metal is to use a Unibit instead of a standard twist drill bit. It won't catch and cause headaches and drills a much nicer and rounder hole.
Great video. keep up the good work
They look great but I can't help but notice that the inner fender liners look piece milled together. Wonder if some black paint/powder coating wouldn't make that less noticeable. Of course none of that is your fault, just the design of the kit, and other than that they look great!
Autoedit. Great videos again. Is this fender type also in a little wider type. here in Norway the fender need to be in top be the same with as tire.
Fenders look AWESOME. However, the Fender Well Liner...not so much.. those gaps look like something is missing. Great videos as always.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome. I'm getting those fenders. What size Wheels is that ? My JK came with aftermarket 18" wheels with 35" tires, but I prefer the look of those same type of wheels on your JK.
Jeep's looking great!!
+My Jeep Running Over Things Thanks so much! i can't wait to get the rears on next weekend!!!
Metalcloak makes awesome products!
Good Job, Very interesting and funny video!
You make some great videos....
They look great
Where did you get the refrigerator from? This was a pretty cool video. I have watched several video's of you and your Jeep.
wow looks awesome I've been thinking getting a JK since i have an XJ already, as always good videos, Keep it up ;)
Build that XJ!
+autoedit Its already built, 33s, Roof Rack, LEDs, nice Bumper and all of that, i just want a JK :D
Nice vid👍 I am a Wrangler wannabe, it looks awesome. The eye protection you use, what are they?
Jason, Do you have any rust issues, and if so, how do you deal with it. I installed the MC Overline Fenders (BPC) on the front and the back with in the last few months, and they are already rusting. Thanks.
You are pretty handy, and job well done.
Why thank you!
Would look nicer with those inner fender splash shields painted black. Very beautiful Rubicon though. You did a nice job on it & it'll turn a lot of heads.
That amber lamp/reflector combo you took off from the original might be needed depending which state your from
good taste picking those fender flares ! how much you pay for the complete set?
your jeep keeps getting better and better.
are you planning on any videos of large marge anytime soon?
Thanks, Yes Mustang is coming up in the next couple of weeks!
Another quality video!!
+notbaylor Thanks!
I was browsing around for some tube flares. This vid?... SOLD!
You have a pretty awesome rig. :)
A lil' bit out of topic, where did you get those glasses? They look great. Thank you very much!
Rod Jos glasses should be these by arcone. ArcOne G-FLY-A1101 The Fly Safety Goggles www.amazon.com/dp/B003WE9ZGG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_NFhYBbWPHJZRS
Builds coming out awesome! -Z
Thanks dude!
Did the tires rub anywhere else other than the pinch seam on the rear? Fun vids
looks great!
Subscribed!....great DIY vids. Learning a bunch from you...bought a used JK last year...and slowly building it out. What's your mileage with the 37's?
Not very good...staying around the 14 range right now.
Well done. Inner fenders would look nice If powder coated gloss black.
I agree... just keep not getting around to it... four years later...LOL
G'day mate! What suspension will you be putting On this rubi? Will you DIY? If so I would love to see the vid. Thanks
The front view is SEXY! Now I need a pair for my TJ! 👍
Yes you do! LOL
Awesome vid!!! Throw the frisbee!
+rogerst23 Woohoo for Pinto and thanks!
i love this video because of your lovely Dog!
Yeah for Pinto!
Great Job!
+Zaven O'Bryant Thanks a bunch!
As so many already said - great video a and series. BTW- what time can I swing round so you can get started on my own?😀
Lol, I guess I can start taking appointments!
I just realized you still have stock suspension. Give me more confidence to not need a lift. The bigger tires seem to give you enough. How does it drive on the highway?
Glade to hear old large Marga is getting some love too. Really curious as to how the blown 302 runs with EFI. Also how all the suspension works A lot was done to the suspension it basically has completely new geometry Especially at the rear !?!?!...
I am really excited to get Marge back on the road too!
Awasome prducation
Were these the standard width over line fenders, or the wide? Love the install video! Thank you!
I think these are the wide.
Their website lists them as either raw metal or black powder coat. I can't find a picture of them in raw metal. I assume you got black powder coated. How do you like them so far?
I kind of like the look of this. Just can't bring myself to drill new holes and cut on my Jeep. Wasn't cheap!!
I'm really curious as to why you didn't remove the wheels and get them out of your way, particularly when you put in the fender lining panels.
Does your state not have a fender law? Those 'fenders' don't seem to cover much. How much tire splatter do you have?
Hi Jason, do you get a lot of spray onto the windshield from these smaller fenders?
If you mean in rain going down the road... not at all. Every once in a while when I was in serious mud, it would flip some onto the hood and down the side of the jeep.
Are those the 6in or 8in highline fenders??
MetalCloak Fenders are awesome, they look so good on wranglers
Are those the standard or wide width fenders?
So the setup you put on is the Overline tube fender and the hi-clearance quick release front flare standard edition?
Yep!
You're next project should be putting on a LED Bar light, it will look more amazing.
They look sick! Definitely agree with the others and would paint the inner liners black. Also where did you get those safety goggles? And do they fog up?
Thanks, probably will paint them and the goggles came from my local welding supply shop.
How long did it take to do all 4?
Audio on the voiceover sounded really good, what mic did you use?
+notbaylor That's just my cheap lav mic. that I use for the videos...just plugged into my computer. I think it's an e100.
Did you ever do the rear fenders? This video was great!
I sure did...czcams.com/video/QvR6Aaw2JNU/video.html
Thanks!
hey love your jeep where did you order you inner wheel wells?
Metal Cloak
@autoedit - interested at all in selling those flares you took off?
Great video but, I'm just wondering what did you do with the side marker light that was on the stock fender?
Metalcloak sells a small led kit that fits into the new fenders but I just left them off
I see thanks for the info...
You guys are gonna make me rob a bank and if I get away with it I'll buy me a nice JEEP.. LOL geat video!
are you using the metal cloak narrow, standard or wide overline fender flares? and is that a full length front bumper ? Im looking for fender flares for my full length bumper
These are the wide option from metalcloak.
Another great vid. What made you go with hard top instead of soft?
That was simply a case of finding a used Jeep at the right price with a manual transmission but now that I have it, I like it!
+autoedit Well that was easy enough. Hope it will be that way for me. Any problems with the top leaking? Do you take it off much?
Wondering how much harder this would be with any other tire brand say toyo/nitto. As BFG's tires usually measure a lot under their desired height. This has me still wanting a jk and to try and fit 37's with as little lift as possible though!
Have you measured the BFG's yet?
Yeah, the BFGs measured 35.5" tall and I absolutely love them!
Jason I love these videos, the only thing is you don't include how much is the cost of the investment! can you do that?
I do not mention prices on purpose since they tend to change so I put a link in the description to the product that should be the current price. Plus, sometimes it's not a bad idea to call the vendor and say you saw the video here and ask about any sales or discounts that might apply!
Thanks so much for watching!
Now just waiting for youtube to process the video!
+Hunter Smith I just noticed that it's pretty slow catching up today...thanks for hanging in there!
Anytime! I love the vids your putting out!
Just stumbled across this video......can you tell me more about the JKU-lift, tire size, etc., I see it's got factory Rubicon wheels-are you running spacers or ? as the track width looks wider.
Thanks,
Howdy and welcome. It would be much easier for you to scan through the complete build in this playlist czcams.com/play/PL_oEM8z39tKA42LI4tG8oTVfKFkVBHhQa.html
@@AutoEdits PERFECT, thanks for that
Any reason why you went Overline vs Overland aluminum? It's the interior brackets that truly motivates me. Been looking for the poison spyder aluminum, due to strength, but are discontinued. I can't be adding anymore weight with steel. Also, just sharing. I was somehow unsubscribed to your channel... and I know I've been subscribed. As always, thanks so much!!
I will never argue against saving weight BUT... I just built this Jeep with every bit of armor I felt it needed and it handles the weight just fine. So, if you have the money to buy aluminum and save a pound or three, go for it! This Jeep feels absolutely nimble like it is and I have bashed it into stuff plenty of times with great confidence.
Are there side maker lights?
I'm just curious if you had looked into any poison spider parts for your JK before the metacloak fenders. Cause I'm thinking of going with some poison spider front and rear fenders and I'm looking to see your input if you have done research on them compared to your fenders
I think the PS stuff is just fine...mater of fact, Tube Sock (Fred Williams TJ) has a full set of Poison Spider things on it. Look up Dirt Every Day Hawaii and check out his Jeep with that stuff on it.
When I was doing my research, the MetalCloak products just stood out and I liked the looks of them.
He is sponsored by MC...he gets free stuff from them. Of course he is going to get MC and tell you how great it is.
Can you stand on those fenders as a step to access a rtt or a roof rack?
Yes!
