Declutter Vlog: Spring Cleaning

- Hey guys! I'm spring cleaning early! I first started my Declutter Vlogs last October and Makeout 2013 is still going strong. But it's a good idea to keep things in check and make sure products are being used. When I realize something isn't for me or I just no longer reach for it, it's better I donate it to my local womens shelter or pass it on to a friend who can enjoy it more. It's great to watch you declutter rather than buying, helps me not spend anything more! I keep rewatching these videos to help keep me within my budget and remember I don't need all the extra makeup! Thank you x
I would have never thought I will enjoy watching a video like this but I love it. It really helps me to throw things away and be very neat.
These are my favorite types of videos - you're so ruthless & honest (and yes, smell does matter!!) that it makes me want to be the same way when dealing with my stuff!

I completely feel you on the scent of products. It is almost always as deal breaker if I can't deal with the smell. That's why I'm loving your videos because you seem to be honest about the strong smells of certain products.
I can't wait to see what you have cooked up for the Lancome tubes, something great I am sure! I have been decluttering my bags and makeup, lotions, etc that I didn't even open by using them for birthday gifts, win-win because I shop at home and don't spend additional money and my friends always like their gifts!

Your declutter videos have made me realize that I can't stand back-ups and clutter. For budgeting reasons I was already on a no buy for quite a long time, but now that I've cleaned out some of the crap that I don't use out of my collection I feel so much better. I love everything in my makeup drawer now and look forward to using everything each day, its a great feeling and I'm saving so much money by not buying more crap. Thank you for the inspiration!
I LOVE your declutter videos! They really make me want to go through all of the stuff that I don't use/wear and give it to people who could actually use them!

Thank you so much for these videos! I have way less than any youtuber, but I finally realized that it's way too much for me. You've inspired me to clean out a lot of stuff in my room and just live a more simple life. I've donated a lot, and now I have extra money from the stuff I took to consignment shops :) Thanks again!

I've been watching all of your declutter videso, and they have really inspired me! I recently re-cleaned and organized my closet after watching your Closet orginizing video! I am now inspired to do a different cleaning project each week for the month of March! I even decieded to let myself get a little treat (makeup or something) if I stick to my plan and do a different project each week!
I love that no matter how much of a bad day I'm having, I can always come watch some of your videos and you always put a smile on my face! Your love for life is so inspiring(:

Great video. I never actually stop decluttering really. I go through all our storage areas on our home (kitchen cupboards, kids wardrobes, etc etc etc) in rotation. It amazes me that I always still find things to remove from the house.

Yes and on top of already having a sensitive nose, I noticed after switching to mostly natural products, my senses seem to be even sharper now.

I'm so impressed that you've stuck with this! I've found myself inspired and tend to gift things that I don't use to family or friends. As you said, no sense hanging on to something if you're not going to use it!
I agree!! Ugh, it's such a bummer when you find a beautiful color lipstick but then the smell is so strong it ruins it. I haven't tried airing them out but I did have to air out a NYX bronzer and that helped.

Yesss exactly!!!! Our senses become so much sharper. Cleaning up my diet has detoxed my taste buds. Amazing how our bodies can get use to being bombarded with loads of sugar, salt, grease and all kinds of other garbage that it actually tastes normal. But once our body detoxes, all of the fresh clean whole foods taste delicious and full of flavor... while the old stuff is like "ewww!! salt lick; sugar cube, puddle of grease" lol. We become enlightened to what flavors we're really tasting.

A girl after my own heart, between your natural approach to skin care to organization and your love of good ingredients in food and makeup- i swear if I vould only watch one youtuber for the rest of my life it would be you! Cherry Culture was having a huge sale on NYX last year, I had heard lots of people talking about how much they loved NYX glosses, so I looked up swatches and purchased my favorites all in one order, figured I'd do a swatch video. Just didn't realize how strong the smell would be, I have a super sensitive nose. But I'll still do a blog post of all the swatches because the colors really are beautiful.

Definitely! I plan to do a monthly empties and maybe a weekly "shopping my stash" or something like that where I can share what products I'm currently working on using each week. :)
Totally agree with you on the smell thing - especially for lip products. If it smells bad or 'off' it has to go. Sales assistants think I'm mad when they sing the praises of whatever product and I insist on smelling before purchase.
Yay for due cluttering. I'm doing my spring cleaning in march, at the end. I requested a day off just so I can spring clean. I have a small room and a small bathroom, but god knows I have sooooo much crap!

Christine, microwave that paint pot and then mist it with Fix+ and it should be back to its former glory! Love your de-clutter videos. You really helped me let go of products I wasn't using and I now enjoy my stash more. I've also been using your tip of asking if I need/will use up a product before I buy it. So far, I haven't bought anything this year!
OMG !!! Me too !!! Went to San Antonio TX for the weekend and found a whole food store that carries the Dessert Essence Line and I laso purchased them. Love them so much :) All because of Miss Foxy lol

Yay!! Thanks girl! I'm not a fan of Nars either, I tried them a few times but they always smelled like plastic. My favorite glosses are Buxom, specifically White Russian and Sandy (both nudes) but they have an awesome selection of colors, Dolly is another pretty mauvey one. They have that minty tingle, so it depends on if that's something you like or not. But I find the overall minty fresh vanilla-esque scent is pleasant.
