You don’t need to backup since this is for people who don’t want or can’t backup.

Okay for those who are having issue with code not showing up, I just solved it.
Try logging back onto the account on your OLD phone, then click transfer chat before you re download on your NEW phone. Leave OLD phone on ‘transfer chat to iphone’, and sign-in on NEW phone, it will show to transfer from old phone after you verify your number.
Hope this helps. I was stuck for couple of hours. 😢

Thanks a ton. This worked like magic. There is a difference in your video and the narration in the sim transfer part. I advise all to follow exactly what he narrates and not the video during the sim transfer.

To all the others who say it doesn’t work: follow EXACTLY the steps in the video, including the moment when you switch SIM cards.
Many other videos about this topic just want to sell you an extra software for doing exactly the same thing, but it’s not necessary.

Hi - will all photos & videos transfer as well - even if they are old. My phone cannot backup the chat history since there is not enough space available. WhatsApp has backed up the last time in 2021. Will it transfer all the chats up to 2023 or only the ones that had been backed up till 2021?

This absolutely doesn’t work for me, when I do it it just automatically signs into my chat and it’s showing my backup from three weeks ago it’s not allowing me to scan the code shown on the old iPhone. What am I doing wrong ?
I found it. You need to disable iCloud Keychain on both devices. Only when you get manual otp on sms this option to transfer works. I just did in my phone.

Yes me too. WhatsApp from old phone automatically sign out once I sign in the new phone. Which end up I can’t scan the code.

Hello guys, I had the same problem as you yesterday, what you should do is to sing off of your iCloud on your new phone and then try what is shown in the video. It will work!

Hey! I do step by step as shpwn in the video, get the old phone ready to scan and then log in with the same number on the new phone but it opens my account without showing a qr at all. It retrieves an incomplete back up only. Tried many times and it keeps happening the same way. I granted full access on both phones to location

I tried to do this ( transfer chat from old phone to my new phone “ which was already full) so my new phone memory was full !!!
So i ended up creating new whatsapp on new phone w/out back up ,, it backed up whatever was there from icloud but not uptodate … the old phone showed me as if i lost all my chat history logged me out once i logged whatsapp from my new phone !!
I had another simcard, i put it in the old phone, entered simcard through whatsapp ( old phone) and i retrieved all the msgs !!!
Now the question is, if i transferred chats from old phone different sim to my new phone !!!!

Were you able to transfer? I’m facing same issues.
You should have deleted the unwanted media in your old phone WhatsApp before the initial transfer so that your new phone memory wont be full. This is what i did and succeeded.
this does not work. after entering phone number on new phone, it directly signed in without asking to transfer from old phone. How come your video cut off after entering number? what is the next thing u see??
Open Transfer chats to iphone before registering the number on the new phone, make sure you’re at the part where your camera opens ready to scan the QR code. Then register the number on the new phone, you should be able to continue from here.
@@augustinemensah me too.. when no QR code appear on my new iphone, it just prompt me to restore from icloud which the last back up as in 2021. the new iphone doesnt accept the transfer request from my old iphone. how??? please help

1)Delete and reinstall WhatsApp again on your NEW phone WITHOUT signing in
2) cancel transfer on your OLD phone and sign in to your WhatsApp
3) start everything from the beginning like the video

I follow the same exact steps and then when I register on the new iPhone, i automatically get logged out of the old phone. So I am unable to scan the QR code using the old phone because I am logged out. Any suggestions how can I solve this, please?
Do One thing that, don't remove sim from old phone. Try to register new phone but use verification code from old phone. When WhatsApp data transfer done then transfer SIM card.

Hey guys , if you're using eSim you have to first transfer the eSim to your new iphone and switch off the line. Then just follow the step above till the part where you have to swap the sim , just turn the line back on and it should be transferring.

This method will not work if you have two factor authentication enabled in WhatsApp. It is necessary to disable two factor authentication to get the QR code on new phone (until WhatsApp fix this issue)
