Southgate is the reason he didn't take a penalty not him, he was always up for it. Rashford (who should have come on earlier so he was warmed up) should have gone last and Grealish should have gone 3rd. We lost because of Southgate, not the lads.

Raheem Sterling literally had his hand around Joe Gomez's throat on England duty a few days after the Man City vs Liverpool game, so this 'all best friends' thing isn't entirely true. There's definitely a few egos still present, but it helps that the squad is full of players from a variety of clubs rather than just 3-4 clubs like in the past. We started the Euros with Villa, Everton and Leeds players in the starting 11. Quite incredible really.
