It could be a bad diaphragm or a bad injectors or injector cup and the worst cause could be a crack in the head but I didn’t see any smoke so that’s a head scratcher
A new injector pump ordered from the UK was $392.88. I figured that was dirt cheap so I ordered it. It came from japan with made in Japan all over it. It did NOT work. After long arguments over it not working and they would not exchange it I took the side off it. The kill switch bar was slightly bent and was holding it in the kill position. Took four times to open it up before I finally saw the issue. I bent it straight with pliers and it works perfectly now. The old pump had a bad crush washer so now I have 2 pumps. Fixed the old one for about 53 cents.
