I remember when I saw him at a convention in 2004/2005 - there was such a huge line of women and fans - JUST FOR HIM... and next to his table was the tall Michael Berryman. Piper was so grateful and getting SO many compliments from middle-aged women... even FN' pies... Berryman was just rolling his eyes and sitting SO uncomfortably from getting sick of all this mushy heartfelt saunter. It was a funny sight, I felt sorry for Berryman. Like, Alice fucking Cooper was there and not even he had a line up like Piper. This was the early days of Fan Expo, when you could actually enjoy your time, and not have to face crowds. RIP RRP.
Re-watched this weekend. Excellent movie. The alley fight never gets old. Just upset that Peter Jason couldn't squeeze in any on-air mouth trumpet playing.
Such an under rated gem of a film with a great deep and dark meaning, I love it and it's got one of the best one liner's in film history =P

RIP roddy piper...i was always hoping there would be a 2nd movie! my first time hearing the complete sound track. I just can't get enough of Carpenters Synthy beats. A great movie with a great sound track, and of corse Roddy Piper's first serous acting role...RIP.

This movie had the best fight seen of all time in my opinion. Pretty cool that you have the vinyl version of this.

The garbled quality of the first message at the beginning is like the garbled sound of the "Prince of Darkness" "visions". A lot of truth here in this message, reminds me of lot of the "I'm mad as Hell!" speech from "Network".
Its strange to think this movie is from the 80s and the message still rings true. The rich and powerful getting more and more and the working class and the environment suffering as a result. Carpenter's message in a lot of his movies is so spot on its scary
Carpenter's cynicism was great in the 80's and Still holds true today---even more so with the opening track.... Thanks a HUGE Bunch for these Vinyl uploads, Mr. Miller !!!

Alan Miller, I'm 64 and I clearly remember the first day this movie came out.... the soundtrack has haunted me ever since. May I offer to you my deepest appreciation for making this available. Of course it is or maybe can only be felt by a select few.
Just watching that LP going round and round whilst listening to this epic soundtrack is quite something

I think the movie 'They Live' is the most underrated movie from the horror master 'John Carpenter' ;-)!
It's such a kick ass movie. I'm also a huge big trouble in little china fan. A hidden gem is In the mouth of madness also from john carpenter

when i saw this in the theater and this 2:31 song starts and the finger snapping kicks in, the whole audience started snapping their fingers in time and when the snapping lined up with the clicking a the gun the whole audience laughed, we'd all just shared a moment and it was magical

Awesome man! Loved just about all the music Carpenter and Howarth did. Never heard of "Death Waltz" records before but it immediately made me think of "Death Bird" records. You know, Swan's company before he and all the others got killed during the second night the Paradise was open. That was also a show to die for. Thanks so much for these uploads man! Subbed btw.
