The most consistent ETA date range i was given for my MYP since placing the order was between 8/15 and something like 9/23, ended up getting VIN assigned 8/19 and delivered 3 days later
I chose the red color too. Just LR model. The staggered wheel setup wasn’t for me as far as being economical, but it they do look good 👍

Good stuff. I love the Model Y. I only lived with it for a 5-day trip from LA to Vegas (Model Y LR) and I can't say enough how much I enjoyed it. Agree with pretty much everything on your list (didn't use Sentry mode). As far as price, looks, size and ride height, for me the Model Y is the sweet spot. The 4.8 0-60 time is a tick slower than my current car, but the torque on demand, at any speed, put a smile on my face every time. I can't imagine what the Performance must feel like but I plan to find out! Unless something totally unexpected comes along the Model Y Performance will be my next car.
Took delivery of my Model Y Performance Blue, exceeded expectations. After using it for a week, best car out there. Have the new Ryzen chip so the interface/software is snappy quick.

What's also great are the simple voice controls. You want to see the map say navigation. Not show navigation or anything. Just navigation. You want to see what's going on behind you say rear view camera. Just that. You want to check you tire pressure just say service an it will be shown. A Tesla doesn't start an artificial conversation with you getting it wrong all the time and replying in the most nonsensical way. It shows you on the display what it understood and follows the command immediately. I could never drive anything else any more that's for sure.
Agreed. The voice controls are very accurate & an amazing feature
they've been selling FSD for years and have yet to deliver. They got the nerve to raise the price to 15k? for a product that still has yet to be delivered? 🙃🙃

I applied PPF on the front bumper and hood myself. No plans of tinting anytime soon. Didn't see a benefit from ceramic tinting my Long Range Y because of being able to precondition the car from the app during hot summer days

Trading in my M3LR for a MYP next week. Can't wait! :) My biggest thing will be the ease of getting in and out and ride height. I have some back problems and getting in and out of my M3LR is difficult.

Finally yesterday received the text about the VIN number. EDD 8/31-9/4. I’m looking to finance and the interest rate is sky rocket. Any advice?
Compare Tesla's rate with local credit unions. The Fed has been increasing the effective funds rate recently so it's kinda hard to get a low interest rate
I just financed my new MYP last week and got 2.99%. Find a credit union because they usually have the best rates

There are credit unions that you can do business with online even if they aren’t local to you.
I got 4.5% :-/ will refinance when the rates drop

The roof is a pain in sunny climates ! It certainly adds more heat to the car than a steel roof.
Don’t misunderstand me, the a/c can cope … but for me in the Algarve I’d rather have a conventional steel roof

Got mine a week ago and brought it in for service today. I have a high pitched turbine-like noise when pressing on the throttle….Tesla techs said it was “normal” anyone experience anything like it?

How's the ride quality? There are many people complaining about the suspension , is that an issue for you🤔
After having owned both the Long Range with the 19” wheels and the Performance with the 21” wheels, the ride quality is nearly identical. The performance is not uncomfortable by any means. In fact, I feel that the suspension is smoother & rides better than the Long Range even though it has a sport tune to it. Could it be that Tesla may have changed something between ‘21 and ‘22? Maybe. But I don’t see why people complain all the time about the performance being uncomfortable lol. It’s definitely a road-trip type vehicle as well because of the comfort
If (like me) you can’t afford the MY performance… may I suggest getting the MY LR and paying €1800 for the acceleration boost !

Yeah, 2% tinted windows are great for star gazing. ROFL, only people that have never tried it say this.
Even though it’s 2% tint, the outside is visible from the inside. Good quality tint is like that. Stargazing in the country side has worked for me with no issues so far
