Being caught off guard gets rid of resistances and immunities. ... One thing i do hope they bring to the remake is the ability to control your whole party like they did with the psp version and persona 4-5. I didnt mind the auto in persona 3 fes, but i do feel that many will not be okay with that in the upcoming remake
Mmm It's tough. Persona 3 is SO easy if you can just control your party members, especially since AI reliability is something that seems to have been balanced around. Koromaru, for example, is fairly lacking in options, but his AI is absolutely on point, whereas Mitsuru on paper has probably the most overall good skillset of the cast, but this is balanced by her AI being a certified crayon gourmand, who appreciates the tartness of the purple ones, and thinks the green crayons are too bitter. If you can just control everyone there's basically no reason to not just run Akihiko and Mitsuru, with whatever third member you like, since they're just plain better than everyone else if you can control them, and basically no reason besides boss matchup to use Koromaru or Junpei, since their generally great AI doesn't really factor into their otherwise meh loadouts, and the game isn't balanced around your entire party being on point like that. I imagine it'll just have party control, I don't think most people can handle losing 'cuz Mitsuru insisted on spamming ice on an enemy draining it, but, it kinda brings the game down imo.
thankfully it's already confirmed that you will be able to control your party members, since imo it's kinda boring and annoying not to be able to control your party members.

Was once grinding to get Jack Frost, I had been at it for about 2 hours and was gonna go to bed right after. Had just one level up to go and from what I calculated I needed to have about 3 more quick fights to achieve that level. I than got into the first of the three, the enemies got to go first cause they got me from behind. They than proceeded to wipe me out cause I forgot to switch personas beforehand and I hadnt saved for a whole fucking hour… I haven’t touched the game since and I wanna go back to it but it’s been so long idk if I’ll remember everything I was trying to do.
I guess I'll have to make "How it Feels to Play Persona 3 Reload"
