The interviewer clearly did his 'homework', nice sensitive guy ..and Suzy? ...Pheww! This is precious, thumbs up.
omg, I just got the chills with the memory of her mom in the photo. I just love to hear her sign. Her, Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks & Joan Jet are my most favorite rockers from the 70's & 80's.
When I bought her album in 74,i loved her;and I love her even more today!
An excellent interview , a very gutsy women and could inspire anyone.. she is the best to me, and always will be.. xx bless ya Suzi xx
She's from Grosse Point, Michigan... Suburb on the Detroit border. She was in the band Pleasure Seekers in the 1960's, had a great song in 1966 called "What a way to die". Her brother Mike Quatro helped her get discovered by a big record label, where she gained her most success as an artist. Alot of people here in Detroit were jealous of Mike and tried to black-ball him from the radio and getting good gigs.... well it's all history now, bless you Suzi !
hello suzi, been watching your interviews for hours today & have been collecting your records for decades(including the pleasure seekers 45 on hideout), & at the end of the day, never let anybody change who you are. you inspire me. CHEERS!!!!
I didn't think I'd listen to this whole interview but it was so good. I remember watching Suzi Quatro on Top of The Pops. She is legendary, she is an icon for women and girls actually. Really inspiring woman.
I learned so much about Suzi. Very inspirational. So rare to hear a rock star who was pro family, very few setbacks, no drug problems. That's why she's still here, while many of her peers have passed away or faded away.
True, she really didnt live a rock n roll lifestyle.
Totally agree. Think of the "Then Play On" team of Fleetwood Mac. What INCREDIBLE MUSICIANS! Lost to drugs or the children of Jesus. Peter Green, Danny Kirwan, Jeremy Spencer. And the next few records featured Bob Welch who was an incredible composer of songs and guitarist. Died of heroin.
My English friend introduced me to Suzie's amazing talent. I am ever so grateful because I have enjoyed her music and learning more about this unique artist...She is so wholesome and real! Suzie, you are an inspiration and look fantastic! Thank you for bringing so much joy into the world of music!
I love you Suzi so much. You will always be my wild one. I was having major surgery when I was 8. Suzi you kept it all happening for me, on my mono ear phone. Suzi I love you. You will always rock.
Now THAT!!! Was a REAL Interview. Extremely compelling!! Being a Fan since 73 I have seen may Interviews--this won wins Hands Down!! Thank you Iain McNay, Suzi Quatro & Cherryredgroup.
Glad to have seen her Live in S.F. Calif. Winterland. She was a great performer, 110% always. Big Fan here.
Suzi you're such a lovely down to earth lady, you're right up there with Dolly Parton. That's the best compliment I can offer. You're something else Suzi!
This is great. Always loved Suzi Quatro's music and it's wonderful to see such an interview. Interesting to me how Suzi says early in the interview that she always took herself very seriously, and later on says the same thing about Henry Winkler/The Fonz, almost as if it was a bad thing. Suzi Q., if you ever think about touring New Zealand, then please DO.
Thank You for taking the time to create and share this wonderful video with us all ❤️
Don't mean to sound so crazy but there is nothing like going back in time with fab music. yay
she's a rare talent in the rock n roll, loves her voice and I couldn't stop listening to her music... 💋👍🎵
One of the best Suzi Quatro interviews I have ever seen and I have seen a few!!!!
Relaxed and very informative.
Our Suzi had a multitude of epiphanies 😃 Great relaxed interview.
Always dug Suzi..God bless!
thanks Suzi, you helped me to raise my 2 daughters and understand women in general BTW I love your music too :)
She is really cool. Loved her as Leather Tuscadaro in Happy Days!
Suzie abrillant lady. I still listen to her and chris norman from smokie love ❤️ both of them singing stumbling in
I've heard of her for years ..... what a an amazing human being.
Just watched this. Really great interview. Great questions - beautifully researched. Insightful answers. Suzi is real. She’s inspirational. Thank you for doing such a great job with this interview. The best Suzi interview out there.
Thanks so much for this wonderful, informative video. Suzi is a wonderful performer, and her Stumblin' In, with Chris Norman, from my middle-school days, is still a charmer. Looks wise she reminds me of Lindsay Wagner a little, in this interview. Regards.
Suzi's still the coolest!
a first class interview and glad to get know Suzi Q better thank you :)
This is awesome. Thank you for posting.
I would sure like to hear her on movie soundtracks. Movie roles would be cool too. I read 'Unzipped', it was hilarious. I felt like she took me back to the 70's. Boone's Farm Strawberry Hills wine and the sweet scent of weed. Give me a break, I was a kid then!!
thanks!
She is a living legend !!!!!!!
Fascinating. A dream interviewee: so interesting, down-to-earth and REAL.
Lovely interesting interview!
Great interview! How about a follow up? I think she should re-release everything she ever did. Suz you are my Elvis!

What a real sweetie of a woman, she's awesome!!!!
Great interview…what a interesting lady!
Great interview, inspiring as we are a all girl pop / rock band and need strong idols ! X
Its funny but after all this time I wud say shes still best know in America for Happy Days & Stumblin In,her early hits like Can Can & 48 Crash were huge in the UK but I don't ever remember hearin 'em on the radio back in the 70s,which is a shame cuz that's her best stuff.
+G Raw Yup.
Great interview. Gotta love Suzi.
An absolutely wonderful woman.....much love for suzi she cool & great....
Suzi Quatro, i remembr the day u turned up at the bbc in leathers, lol i was there, peter was the floer manager at the time, when he asked if u wanted a changing room, u said no am going on as i am, as they say the rest is history.
Long before Joan Jett came along there was Suzi. She still to this day is gorgeous. Its just to bad her career wasn't as big here in the states. She is talented as hell.People here in the U.S. don't know what there missing. She is talented & God gave her a gift.Maybe someday she will hit the states by storm But I don't see it happening, though It would be nice if it did.
Great interview - amazing story!
I just finished reading "Unzipped" last week. She's great! :)
STAY AWESOME! :)
Wow, Hi Suzi Quatro. I certainly saw you on Happy Days when I was young, but I never remembered that later on, until this CZcams thing. Professor Of Rock did a video about you, wow. You're no sex symbol to me, more like an inspiration for your courage to be you no matter what. I play more guitar than anything now, but bass was my main thing for many years. I dig your playing, truly. I'm from the MTV generation, it came into being while I was still a kid. Joan Jet and Pat Benetar were all over it, but I didn't hear about you until Professor of Rock. Thanks for being you. You rock.
Growing up on the Eastside of Detroit I believe they lived in grosse pointe the suburbs of Detroit.
