    I have listened to so many videos and followed their instructions but the color change was still imperfect. Yours is so simple and the finished piece was absolutely perfect just like you quoted and demonstrated in the video. You have made my day!

  • @theducklinghomesteadandgar6639
    @theducklinghomesteadandgar6639 Před 8 měsíci +11

    Best explanation I have found for making this happen!!! AND THEN you proceed to show us how to do the join if we are working with vertical stripes instead of horizontal like that of a bee!! Girl/Woman, You Rock!!! You are the Bomb, the Bomdiggity, a Queen to be sure!!! Thank You SO much!!!
    It seems to me like whether or not one is changing colors they should be beginning each round this way so that the rounds actually start and stop on the same level instead of having that jog which to me when I'm crocheting makes the round more of a wonky spiral, which bugs me to no end!!!
    So not only have you shown me how to make invisible color changes, you have shown me how to join rounds and continue, invisible and more evenly instead of that wonky leaning I can see after each round...unless I'm doing something wrong and it shouldn't be doing that without a color change but I have a feeling that it's not my technique just the way it goes without intervention like this??
    Much Love!!!

    Hi, why do you do the front - back at the end/beginning of every row even when you don’t change colors? Can it be done only when you change the yarn color? Thanks

    • @corgiscrochet5578
      @corgiscrochet5578  Před 10 měsíci +1

      You definitely can! When I only have one color change, I usually switch to this join method one or two rows before the change so the line evens out, then change back to working in rounds after that.

  • @mariakristinahawl1640
    @mariakristinahawl1640 Před rokem +1

    Your stitching is tighter (too tight) due to your yarn unders. Change to yarnnovers, and you will see a tremendous difference in your stitching tension. You may never go back to the yarn unders... 😉

    • @corgiscrochet5578
      @corgiscrochet5578  Před rokem +8

      I appreciate the feedback, but that is intentional on my part! I use the regular yarn over for things I want to keep loose like blankets or clothing. However, I’ve found that the yarn under helps keep the stitches tight and neat in amigurumi so that stuffing won’t escape and the stitches have that neat x-shape!

      @bluesusername Před rokem +9

      @@jessicahamric7590either way is correct, it's up to preference! Some people prefer X stitch (yarn under) for amigurumis and V stitch (Yarn over) for sweaters but like I said, up to you what you want to do

    • @tunisiancrochetgraphghanbo318
      @tunisiancrochetgraphghanbo318 Před 11 měsíci +4
