  • #shippingcontainer #worldwideshipping #shippingtoCostaRica 'Shipping Container to Costa Rica the 101 Cars 🚗 Household Goods, 💲Price💲' Pablo has been in the shipping container business and international relocation for over 10 years now. He ships from all over. LA, Miami, Nicaragua, Panama, Guatemala, Canada to name a few. Pablo can help you just bring a palette over, or two houses full of household goods, furniture, cars, motorcycles, boats. You name it, Pablo can help you get it here. Finding Pablo was a TOTAL SCORE for Travel Costa Rica NOW. As I have mentioned many times before, finding honest, transparent folks will to go the extra mile to help without price gouging is very hard to find in Costa Rica. So it's been great hooking up with him. I have been referring people to Pablo for some months now and we've been trying to do a video for some time. Finally. This video, 'Shipping Container to Costa Rica the 101 Cars 🚗 Household Goods, 💲Price💲' is a great place to start if you are considering shipping your stuff to Costa Rica... or Panama... or Nicaragua or back to the US or Canada ;) Pablo answers a lot of questions. Should you ship your stuff to Costa Rica? Is it a good idea? Is it an easy process to ship to Costa Rica? Can Pablo hand hold you a long the way, pack up your house, move it across country to a port of call and get it to it's final destination in Costa Rica? What could go wrong when you ship? What are some 'red flags' when choosing a company to ship your things? Is the consultation FREE? Those questions and much much more answered in this video.. THIS IS DEFINITELY A MUST SEE if you're considering shipping, whether you use Pablo's services or not. Although not sure why you wouldn't. He really is like having a BEST friend who happens to work in the shipping business, totally hooking you up.

Pablo and his team are the best!!! They helped us move our belongings from Missouri to Santa Ana CR. Answered all of our questions and was honest. We are just now waiting for our container to go through customs. My number one advice while doing the container is, do not add electronics because customs will take a longer time.

This is the best video on moving to and retiring in Costa Rica that I’ve seen! Custom’s seems very petty who are they protecting with you can’t bring this or that, I understand the fresh food with insects but be on that is BS! Thanks I’ve decided against Costa Rica!!

CR customs is very petty and corrupt. Its all about relationships, connections, and who you know in Costa Rica or you pay a person with the connections. Just make sure its the right person.

I'm happy you have a good shipping person. We were referred to a nightmare shipping company and it was a total nightmare and 5 months later with almost double the price quoted later our belongings arrived mostly everything broken and missing many items. 😢. We would not do it again. However I can say, finding the RIGHT COMPANY is crucial!! Both our person that referred us and the horrible company we had we washed our hands of them . Found out they both worked for each other TOTAL SCAMMERS !!!Our items were held for more and more $$$. We almost said KEEP it. I wish we knew about your guy Michael 1 year ago

Great video, Another way. I am 75 to make it the simplest move possible. Have a Garage/Estate sale. Pack two suitcases. Buy a ticket and come here. I sold everything that would not fit in my luggage and rented an Air b&b. 4 months later found a fantastic house in San Rafael, Heredia, and bought it. Pura Vida.

Michael, thanks again. This may be the single most complicated issue that an expat like me is going to get involved in. It is without a doubt the most daunting part of the move. After seeing this my list of possessions that are coming, just gets smaller. One of the things you encourage us to bring are our computers cell phones and power tools. I have a significant group of battery powered tools and other tools I want to bring. Are battery powered tools considered electronics?

So, just to clarify, can I move to Costa Rica and just bring like 10-15 suitcases/boxes/plastic containers full of my stuff? I'm not sure how declaration work that way.
For instance, I would consider myself a gamer and as such, when I move, I am going to bring my Switch, my PS4, my Xbox, my computer and monitors as well as my laptop and Ipad. Is that going to be a problem?
I have Magic the Gathering Cards and Dungeons and Dragons stuff that would get ruined sitting around in a hot storage area waiting on customs to do their thing.

Has anyone brought table saws, generators, etc to Costa Rica. Will that be covered under the $150,000 investment as far as bringing a container? I would have fewer household items but more tools, battery powered tools, etc.

I've heard about how cartels in Mexico make you pay a "tax" to whomever operates your demographic area if you set up business. Is this EVERYWHERE in Latin America? I've so wanted to do business in Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Ecuador :(

Every country has different regulations, different situations by industry and area. If you are trying to open a bar in San Jose area, I guarantee one or another local or international mafia is going to be asking for protection money and the police will want you to pay them to protect your business as well. And trying to conduct business in Costa Rica as a foreigner is very difficult to impossible depending on the industry. You will need to incorporate if you are not a resident or citizen and if you are not a resident or citizen you don't exist to declare taxes, or do a lot of business that requires you to have a cedula or DIMEX number. You will constantly either have to havexTico employees or create powers of attorney for people to file on your behalf.
