How To Paint Hot Wheels And Matchbox!!!

Let me show you how to give this diecast car an amazing and super easy candy paint job using an inexpensive entry level airbrush. As well as adding custom wheels, tires, and axles without having to make cusotm axle tubes. If you follow these steps, I know you can do it too.

Thanks brother. I wish I could have done a side by side comparison but those dang cars are hard to find. I have one other one, but I has to buy a six pack to get it and I like the paint on it so I don't want to mess with it. But just the plain old blue one geeze, nowhere to be found. Great looking hot rod Paul! On the panel liner, I've never tried it, but I'd question whether something 1/64 scale needed it. I've seen in used on 1/32 & 1/24 scale models & it enhanced both. I've also seen a darker shade of the main body color thinned down, so it flows as a panel liner. I don't think there are more than 2 or 3 colors of body liner sold commercially. I wonder if colored inks would work as panel liner.

Thank you for the comment. I am kinda regretting using the panel liner. Creating a darker car color to use as a panel liner is a great idea. I just don't know how I would go about darkening up a candy color without it looking off.

Where do you get your wheels from? I have found a few good places, but I'm having issues finding off set wheels with deeper rims in the rear.

I've been getting them from Hobby Lobby. They have some m2 cars that have three sets of different wheels and tires that you can change out. So you get 4 sets of wheels and I believe they are around 9 dollars per car. They also carry stand alone wheel packs. It's hit and miss whether they have then in stock. I buy them when I see them.
