It can be done. The stand-ins for Wes have always been good, and CGI face mapping is a thing now. What also helped was Blade's move set, which was mostly one-and-done. He threw some combo stuff, but because of Blade's speed/power, he tends to hit once and move on. That's easy to film and cut, meaning he can still look good doing it even in his 60s. The biggest issues for Wes is bulk and time. He would have to gain a bit in size, and the other issue is they need to act now while Deadpool is fresh in people's minds.
Snipes could play an older blade in a future setting. Would explain his older age since blade ages slower but isn’t immortal. I can already imagine a futuristic rave and the same club blood music coming on.

I love the Blade movies. They are actually the birth point of the current comic book movie craze. When they came out they completely revolutionized what a comic book movie could be, were rated R and also horror movies all wrapped in one. They also really hold up after all these years.

He and Sir Patrick Stewart held the record for 17 years when Logan came out and both lost it to Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe when both returned as Spidey and Green Goblin in Spider-Man: No Way Home, getting the record to 19 years in December 2021. However, it was short lived, as Sir Patrick Stewart reclaimed the crown alone, once again by portraying Professor X in February of 2022 for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, at about 19.5 years and some change. With Deadpool & Wolverine, I thought Jackman would stand alone as the king again at 24 years, but with Snipes's surprise cameo he reigns supreme at just shy of 26 years of playing Blade, the dhampir that saved Marvel. His cameo easily elicited the most gasps and applause in the theater BY FAR.
I hope they do a slow burn comeback of his character in the SOON like a Necroscope type thing. ONLY Wesley Snipes is BLADE. I don't care if he's older - he's aged, yes... but he is a HEAVY presence on screen and a terrific screenplay could blow it out. Please people read Necroscope novels. Not as a book to movie - but an idea of how great his character could go with some imagination.👍

The first BLADE movie saved Marvel from bankruptcy, this is why we have the MCU today. Wesley Snipes didn't know how much he needed Blade until BLADE needed him... thankfully Ryan Reynolds ignited this fire.😂😂

Out of all the cameos he was my favorite to show up and I went back and watched all the blades right after ...I honestly liked gambit too ,Channing fits the part pretty well , well enough to make a movie out of him alone imho , maybe an origins type deal.
A lot of people need to put some respect on snipes name because without him not just Marvel but movie adaptations of comic books and graphic novels would have not been what they are now
I didnt see the movie yet, now i wanna see it even more when i heard about this. Ill watch it when it comes out on Amazon. I cant do movie theaters.
I really want to see Wesley Snipes as Blade. He still has the agility, strenght and his fighting skills are still there. O will watch Deadpool again because of Wesley Snipes, Jennifer Garner, Chris Evans and the tandem of Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. I was also surprises Channing Tatum playing gambit
Damnit he was the first marvel movie idc. The fact he and ryan didnt get along during blade trinity only for him to cameo in his movie is wholesome as hell.

Now all we need is a Blade and Wolverine (Henry Cavill) movie. The plot Blade now older has to prevent a new breed of Vampire's before it's too late. Mutants turned into Vampire's and the one Mutant they want to turn the most is Wolverine. Blade must convince the reluctant Mutant to side with him and destroy them before it's too late.
