Hey guys, with mages getting a re-work and the new augmentation evoker spec being released next week, we'll be following up with this video with a brief update as soon as the strength of the mage rework and new spec has been established. Totally agree! I was up against a blood death knight yesterday in battleground with 1.1 million health. I think at one point he had four people on him trying to kill him. Totally impossible.

You always train the low experience ranged classes at the lower ratings cause you will shut down most of their damage. You don't shut a low experience melee's damage down by sitting on him as much. If a mage is not that good at PvP hes going to be dealing little damage all game and using little if any CC cause he will be busy running.
How do you know how much xp he got?

I still cant believe "DK is the squishiest melee" is something that's true. The whole class is about pulling enemies to them and making it hard to escape. Yet, no way to survive when doing that. It's like Blizzard forgets what class identities are.
Dk are not the most squishy alone. Ret is squishy aswell. And has bad mobility aswell.
@@r-ex2945rets self heals and dmg reduction is far superior to dks rn though and you know it, we have more mobility as well
@@r-ex2945 Yeah, but bubble, lay on hands, 2 other shields, and can actually kill something. I think the ret rework fixed alot of Ret's problems, giving them more range as well.
@@MissIllLil We aint far more superior. Just stop it please. The amount of Games I had to go defense using every GCD to build holy powers for WoG or FoL and even bubbled and LoH that game. In the end the DH and Warrior still did more healing than me. We are in the middle of the pack now with self healing if you look at the melee.
Yeah we do have more def and healing than a DK but even in games with a DK I get targetted before the DK. Why because when we get pressured we lose a lot of our damage. Way more than a DK.
@@MIngalls It did not fix our problems. We still get kited, our melee skills are the one that give us some extra sustain power. Our BoF can be removed again. Most of our PvP talents got nerfed to something really bad. Our problem was, being kited and controlled and bursted down hard. Those things are still there and atleast 6 Specs do way more bursting than we do. Warrior burst almost as hard as us plus have MS. DH have the same 1 min timer go kill moments are harder to CC.
Sub Rogue is just way more deadly when they have their go than us paladins. People just do not want retri to be for once be seen in Arena doing better than the average. We in the middle of the pack now and the only reason you see so many paladins in Solo Shuffle is because thats is the only spot we can actually play PvP and have a chance as every day players.
I levelled a DH and Warlock last 3 weeks and both do way better than my paladin in Blues... Im way more oppressing and actually able to connect way better on people.

Zero regrets unsubbing when 10.1 hit as a UHDK main. Jesus christ i hate what they've done to the spec since BFA.
As an affliction warlock, I have *NO BLOODY IDEA* what I'm supposed to do when 2 melee sit on me for an entire round. With all the cc in this game, I can barely cast or run, and my healer is getting shut down as bad. I just melt. I have watched *so many* videos of "top warlocks" in arena but they *NEVER* post clips where they're getting trained by double melee. Either it doesn't happen at top-level play or they don't want to post their losses. Either way, I have no idea how to survive that.

The clips i find when they get tunneled they die, either that or all clips are w/e caster freecasting any wrecking
I love it when i can't use my gate as there's so many pets around me, maybe there's a macro for that. ? Aff is shit anyway too many classes can clear my dots without UA doing its damage and its still weak.

instant gate, spec aoe instant fear, train more your demonic circle, use your shields and dmg reductions when your healer is on cc, go Goblin for jump...

well my ret coming off suspension tomorrow and definitely gonna note all this lol and i think shadow priest is a good target now for melee with reduced 15% physical damage off their bubbles now
Don't forget to spec spellward, cleanse, and judgements of the pure(if safe), as they still do a ton of dmg.

the Healing of the supposedly hybrid and support class Ret is a complete joke^^ even warriors heal more, just test it you will be surprised how low ret healing really is and compare it to other classes, for example Spriests or Warrys or Boomys or WHATEVER you want.

Uhhhhh..?? There's this thing called Tempered Scales, a passive that increases Evokers' armor by 75%. Evoker has more armor than most plate classes do.
Just inspecting some random paladin their belt at 424 PvE ilvl gives 711 armor, while my belt at 420 ilvl gives 461 armor. But add 75% to that and my belt ends up giving 806.77 armor, so roughly 13% more armor AND my belt is 4ilvl lower than theirs.
do you honestly think only evokers have passives/buffs that increase their armor? im a warrior and i have a talent that increases my armor by 20%. so my 447 belt that gives 828 armor actually gives 993.
the same 711 424 belt you said palas have would give me 853 armor. your 420 belt gives you 806 armor.
you're INSANE if you think palas dont have any armor/defense modifiers in their talent trees/passives
I logged into my low level pala just to take a look at talents:
holy aegis increases armor by 4%
sanctified plates increases armor by 20% + reduces aoe damage by 10%
faith's armor makes your WoG grant u 20% armor for 4.5s
so their 711 armor belt ACTUALLY gives them roughly 880 armor PASSIVELY

@@sirfargy The thing is that I've compared armor values between Evoker and Plate classes on the beta after they added the armor mastery and between a DK and Evoker, the Evoker had more armor. Now of course I'm not saying plate classes can't get talents for it but the point is, Evoker is practically equal to plate classes when it comes to armor.
Just to confirm, I asked a DK what their armor is right now. I don't know what armor talents they have, if any, but at 450 ilvl in PvP their armor was at 8.6k. Assuming they have no armor talents, we can deduct that a paladin with no armor talents would also have 8.6k armor because the items themselves are universal. Adding 20% to 8.6k would be 10.3k.
My Evoker, at ilvl 447 in PvP, has 10.2k armor, so roughly 19% more than the DK, practically equal to the Paladin. And I'm still missing ilvl on a couple of pieces since I have some Scalewarden items etc.
Evoker has plate level armor values. We're not taking "huge physical damage", any more than a plate class would.
@@grymvild except you chose an anti caster to ask and the squishiest plate in the game. I have roughly 11 thousand on my 445 pve warrior and over 10 on my 444 pvp warrior. Evokers also have innately less hp. If a Pala is in combat and pops wog suddenly his 11k armor is 13k - and they pop wog often. Palas also get 4% on that 20% so it's a 24% increase, so they have even more passive armor.
Having slightly less armor than plate as a mail is totally fine, you're still squishier by default.
@@grymvild just triple checked: hopped on my 444 pvp warrior (keep in mind i have 450 gear on rings and trinkets so my ACTUAL armored pieces are lower ilvl, so if i were to be full 444 and no 450 on my rings/neck/trinket id have higher armor but same ilvl) and i have 9851 armor while attacking dummies. id probably have more if the situation was as i stated with my actual armored pieces being higher ilvl. im also using fierce and not frosted armor kit on my pants (frosted gives another 150ish armor)
THAT BEING SAID, my pve warrior has just a bit over 10. so I do stand corrected about that.
Palas still have more armor than warriors due to the extra 4% and the WoG talent
im unsure about how much a 450 warrior would have as I cant really inspect PVP armor on the armory but ill assume its somewhere in the 11k area.
sorry for coming off aggressive as I just misremembered some of my warrior details (its funny having one pve and one pvp warrior but thats what i decided to do cuz of craftings etc) but I still believe that at full gear, warriors and palas should have slightly higher armor than evokers. i cant vouche for dk cuz i havent checked any talents though.
@@sirfargy Slightly higher than Evokers, sure. Not going to argue there. But the point was that the video said Evoker is an easy target for melee because our armor is low due to mail armor, but our armor is on par with plate classes and in a lot of situations higher than plate classes, so the statement by skill capped on the video is just plain false. Mail classes have like 5.5-6k armor normally and I'm at over 10k.

Unholy DK is the first class I broke 2k rating with, played it religiously from Wrath to Pandashit… very sad to see what’s happened to my spec.

Ret is way more of target rhan mentioned here. Yeah we have bubble for melee or all damage, but for example priest and warriors can remove. Also a paladi. Who BoP himself has no BoP for his allu so a swich is smart whe you have no dispels.
Ret selfhealing in solo is weak.
rogue is the easiest class when you train them.
yeah no damage and massive cooldowns. I play a rogue but always target them on warrior, paldain and mage.

If Blur works the way it did in Shadowlands, you still have a chance to dodge Shadowstep Kidney. iirc it was bugged and just never changed, but I've had several get dodged. Just send a cheap shot since it can't be dodged/parried/blocked
