As someone who grew up with G1 transformers, being able to see the autobots talked with each other while in their vehicle mode is a dream come true.
I'm pretty sure Optimus is the only one with the G1 aesthetic. The rest still have the Knight appearance

I mean...they are a very important piece for this film's plot and have a lot of great stories as well.

Something I love about Transformers since 2007 is that they can change form while on the move or in the middle of an action like when Scourge tackled Optimus at the start of the video.
That's not new - they've been doing that since the G1 cartoon. The 1986 movie alone has numerous examples of it.
I never noticed how great Nightbird's transformation is when she got hit by the mountain debris. It almost looks stop-motion.

Kinda wish when Primal asked about the other Primals the answer was that she wasn't sure instead of alluding to them all dying, it sucks we won't see a full team of Maximals... they should atleast bring airazor back she's like the bumblebee of the Maximals
I hope we still get to see Rattrap, Tigatron, Dinobot and them in the future

It's amazing that a transformer able to fit inside of another Transformer. Arcee dodges a missile to the face while Wheeljack is still in vehicle mode. Nobody would be able to do that not even Dominic Toretto. Also Mirage was terrified of the cheetah transformer, he oiled leak himself the same as self urination.
It was confirmed that Arcee stood around 7.5 feet tall, half a foot taller than her appearance in Revenge of the Fallen.
Also, the cheetah Transformer is named Cheetor. It's in his name

The Transformers are able to change thier size at will, think like Ultraman, or still with Transformers, the Original G1 Megs and Soundwave, both in robot modes are about the same height as Optimus, but are able to transform into objects roughly about half that size, via mass shifting

Love the way that they make the first fight sequence. It balances pretty well between the heroes screentime but also don't overshadow the villains.
(The designes of the Maximals are great, really cool How did they combine classic elements and add more modern aesthetics. They should've had more screentime in the film tho.)
I mean, I still enjoyed this movie as it is unlike the Bayverse and Bumblebee movie fanbases that compare it to their favorite movies but true since after all Beast Wars and the Unicron Trilogy were both my first introduction to Transformers lol.
I love Arcee I really wished Susan Blu voiced her like Peter Cullen voices Optimus Prime.
What about the one from transformers prime? I mean she’s a pretty decent pick.
I’ve never been overly picky about who voices who, as long the performance is good. Not underacted, not shamefully trying to imitate another and failing. Memorable.

Wish they brought airrazor back to life the same way they did with bumblebee
It would be impossible. As you can see in Airrazor's death, Primal was forced to kill Airrazor, but there was a hint, Primal did kill Airrazor, but by destroying the spark (as of the soul, but in transformers). For Bumblebee's death, it was different. Scourge only took his power to none, not destroying his spark. So in conclusion, finding the spark would be IMPOSSIBLE for Airrazor....
Not only that. Airazor was infected by Dark Energon, corrupting her body and her spark.

Heh, I love that part as much as I enjoyed this movie as a Beast Wars fan no matter what since while I still love Beast Wars, I'm totally fine with being called a disgrace to the Transformers fandom if they'd think it's wrong of me to have this movie as my favorite lol.
Besides, the only thing I liked about the Bayverse was the Unicron Trilogy repaints that the 2007 and ROTF toylines use to have, nothing more.

Fr tho this was an awesome adaptation of Beast Wars.
Scourge has Apelinq's maximal simple on his shoulder at the beginning of the movie then it's gone when he's with Unicron.
It's either they forgot to put it there or Scourge is like "I'm running out of space, so I have to take it off" :)))
Optimus prime and the autobots look like they’re from the original g1 series from the mid eighties.
That’s right. The creators of the movie did that to appeal to the fans of that series.

I love the film, although I hope they explain how Optimus Primal & the Maximals knew of the autobots. Was there time travel like in the original 90s series? Or were they in communications with Cybertron during the beginning of the war at dome point?
He literally said he was named after Optimus Prime, indicating that they were from the future. And the gizmo is a trans-warp key, the tool that let them travel into the past in pursuit of Megatron in the original beast wars.
It was hinted that they are multiple cyber colonies and planets other than cybertron and maximals is just aware of cybertron. Or they could still be from the future post cybertron great war and the planet in the beginning is Gaia.
I actually had not heard of Gaia after reading a lot. Wouldn't that create an ending to these movies as he transferred Humans to another dimension where Cybertron was nearly extinct?@@meepmeep2706
To be a bit morbid, in Beast Wars, the Ark, which was meant to be a colony ship, crash landed onto a distant planet when Decepticons led by Megatron boarded, before the crash occurred, near everyone on board was killed during the skirmish between the Autobots and Decepticons. Prime was the last to die after suffering a fatal blow, he held on long enough to record his last words, and then he slipped into death. The Maximals ended up discovering the Ark, and on board the bodies of both the Decepticons and Autobots, which is how they know what both factions look like, though how they know both factions is due to the fact that the Maximals and Predacons are descended from the original Autobots and Decepticons, so as a result they had knowledge of their history.
idc this was better than a few of the last Transformers, I used to watch beast wars back in the day so i loved this!

One the biggest flaws I found, in this movie, is that Airazor gets "Infected". And by her comment here and later on, they KNOW, what it does... Yet, she/they kept that damaged section on her? Hell, nah, they'd of chop-shopped that off in a heartbeat to protect her AND the rest.

Let me see if I understand this: Unicron was the dark god of the Transformers universe, and he yet he could not give his servants the ability to adopt flight modes. Is that correct?

@@TeamYgopro That is kind of my point. The G1 Unicron gave his minions vehicle modes that could not only fly but fly in space. Cyclonis was so fast and maneuverable that he had no trouble shooting down an autobot ship that had to be a hundred times his size. The Unicron in this movie should have, at least, been able to provide Scourge and company with gunship and VTOL jet fighter modes instead of a tow truck and two cars that could be stopped in their tracks by a destroyed bridge.
I think it's their choice, plus Nightbird has a jetpack
I enjoyed the movie. Nothing extraordinary but just the right amount of action. Although Optimus being a hot head is pretty weird. Otherwise solid enough to watch as it is.

Should have shown a little bit of the chase. Like 10 to 15 seconds before this. It shows through Optimus primes mirror. Scrouges front side you can see all his metal icons he collected. Which most likely pissed prime off seeing bumblebees Autobot icon metal. That's why he probably stop running and to fight him.
I love the character designs but I wish the CG could have gotten as much polish as the Bay films.
can we appreciate the sound design in this film?? It really helps selling the transformations and the overall movements of the Transformers.
I have no concept of WTF is actually happening in these films I just realized I've missed 3 of them in a row and I thought i'd seen them all.
The series was rebooted after the commercial failure of The Last Knight and the critical and commercial success of Bumblebee.
