JT is a major part of the belief of “The Celtics will win the NBA finals if they are healthy and are hitting 3’s” so I still believe they’re strong title contenders it’s just the three ball that is hurting them and it’s not entirely on Tatum
If they balance threes and slashes, they’d be better I’d argue
The only one holding the Celtics back last time vs the Denver Nuggets were the referees especially Tony Brothers. Jokic was pushing all-game long and didn't get a single offensive foul called. Meanwhile, Celtics clap their hands and they get three techs thrown at them. We are not worried, the Celtics were playing 5v8 and still almost won. They will destroy these bum Nuggets if they make it out of the West in June

He is not holding them back, he has one flaw, and his flaw is him thinking he is Kobe, shooting bad shots in clutch and being selfish and thinking he is Kobe, if he can play 4th same as first 3 quarters, they win chip this year. In 2022 finals, they were better as a team but tatum shot really bad shots, he choose poorly. He is top 10 player but he can be top 5 even top 3 if he stops trying to be Kobe... He needs to change that ego.

He did this whole series, but he doesnt do that so often, only because he wants tp be HIM, and he will be but he just isnt Kobe.. he should play his strengths and he will win
I’m a Tatum and Celtics hater, and even I don’t think Tatum is holding them back. He’s not clutch and not an amazing superstar, but the Celtics would be way worse without him.

Jayson Tatum is an amazing player but he is not a top 5 NBA players. It is not difficult to understand that. His biggest weakness is that he doesn't get better under pressure, all the opposite.
Game 6 and 7 against the Sixers ECSF 2023, Game 6 against the Bucks ECSF 2022, Game 1 against the Nets ECQF 2022, this year against the Wolves. You can say he has been inconsistent to this point in this career. But to say he doesn't get better under pressure? You are wrong.
