    Good thing this video exists, in second grade I was playing outside with my best friends and my one friend has asthma and all of a sudden he started having an asthma attack and my other friend and my first instinct was to run inside to get his puffer but the principal told me "No he can get it himself" and I'm over here like "MY BEST FRIEND IS OUTSIDE ON THE GROUND PRACTICALLY DYING!!!" I ended up shoving her out of my way and then my teacher was like "where were you?" And I simply said "I was politely getting my best friend's puffer" long story short I got detention and the principal ended up calling my mom and she was not happy with my principal she was like " YOU'RE GONNA GET MAD AT MY 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER FOR SAVING HER BEST FRIENDS LIFE!?" and I ended up going home early

    I had an asthma attack after running laps during PE. Yesterday my asthma was acting up but you have to run. You HAVE to! If you don't run and you don't have a note then they tell at you to run. So I ran and when we were lining up I started wheezing coughing and having trouble breathing. The kid in front of me asked if I had asthma and I nodded. My friend went up to the PE teacher and instead of sending me to get my inhaler do you know what she told me to do? She told me to breathe through my nose! Like lady I'm breathing through my mouth bc I CANT breathe through my nose! Long story short it lasted the entire PE and I was never sent to get my inhaler...

    Every PE day we have we have to run for 3 minutes before class and I always take my inhaler beforehand because the medicine takes about 15 minutes to kick in. So I still have asthma attacks every single time and I feel dizzy and I’m wheezing and coughing every single time. It usually starts between the first minute or 2 too so I have to just deal with it for another minute at least. I also can’t walk because “yOu HaVe An InHaLeR fOr A rEaSoN”

    I have asthma and i would say, besides the inhaler and a compfortable position, it's impotand to stay calm an calm down them down if they are paniking. And remind them to breath out, becauce by tryign to get more air in the lung we often dont exhale properly. And so the lungs will fill up with used air.

      I am all better now. Symptoms came from using the phizer vaccine and trying to bleach my hair to soon before I recovered since I thought I was better but I wasn't which resulted in this allergic reaction. I had leasions on my face, asthma like symptoms with shortness of breath and a racing heart from panic attacks. It took me over 2 months to recover. Going to the beach and breathing in the salt air helped me heal my lungs tremendously. For the panic attacks I got off the decongestant pills for allergies and other allergy medication I was taking and used the food version instead. I also had, ginger tea, with honey and thyme to clean things out and had lemon water every day. I kept my diet super healthy and cut out histamine foods till I was well enough to eat them again and balance my other health need I needed from those foods. SO thankful I did my research online and found that tea mixture from Docter Mandel. I also bought a halmalton salt inhaler to use instead of the asthma perscription inhaler. Way healthier for your lungs and faster results if anyone suffers from something like this. Salt air is a great lung healer. I think this halmalton salt inhaler works for people who have asthma too but you should check with your doctor before trying it. Also look into the salt cave spas that are growing in many cities and ask your doctor if you should try it.

      Asthmatic here! I think it's sweet you wanna do that but inhalers are prescribed so you can't just get a spare to carry just in case nor can you share medications. HOWEVER, you can see if the person (assuming you're around them constantly, like a roommate, partner, or family member) has a backup inhaler you can carry in case they forget theirs or it fails due to a clog or falls empty in an emergency. For example, my mother has always carried a spare inhaler for me and my brother when we were younger (she didn't need one at the time) just in case we forgot ours when going out. I hope this helps you!

      I wondered about that. I have asthma, but I also get panic attacks sometimes. November 2021, I had a really bad panic attack at work in the break room. But the scary part is, a panic attack can very closely mimic an asthma attack and can actually aggravate asthma. Remember one girl trying to get me to just breathe. Minutes later I don’t know how long it was I was spacing out, another coworker says, do we need to make our emergency 🆘 intercom page? I managed to choke out no. Realistically maybe they should’ve ignored me and did it anyway. But I would’ve died of embarrassment if they did it then. My boss ended up coming in tried talking to me about random stuff to see if he could use that to bring me out of it. Head manager showed up as well. In my state, I could hear them talking to each other in low voices
      Or last year when wildfire smoke was really bad, I definitely had a flareup. I remember coming in from doing a lot of shopping carts and feeling extremely short of breath and winded.

      If it’s your first time and you don’t have A inhaler And it’s quite a bad attack you would just phone a ambulance. Black coffee is good Four opening the lungs. Ho a Hot steamy bath or shower is actually good for helping to open the lungs. Long as it’s not to hot to burn you. Apparently even Coca-Cola is supposed to be good to help Open your lungs. Because it’s got caffeine in it. But this is why they tell you not to drink coffee before you go four a Lungs function Testing. Because it can open your lungs before you go. give the machine a false reading.

    • @prettyboy1075
      @prettyboy1075 Před 4 lety +2

      Good question! You're going to want the person to sit down and try to focus on breathing. You can try steam if possible (it may make it worse, may help. If it's their first, you won't know) and I definitely recommend patting on their back, not too hard but firm enough on both sides, up and down. This will help open the lungs. If they don't improve or start/keep getting worse, do not be scared to call for medical help. Asthma can escalate at any time, without any warning. Keep calm and watch to make sure the person doesn't go unconscious. If it's particularly severe, patting the back and calling are your first go-tos. Remember that just because the person may be conscious and coherent, talking to you, does not mean it's not a severe attack. I hope this helps you!

      If you have a medical place nearby (urgent care or ER), I recommend bringing them in or getting help if they don't get better or get worse after 5 minutes of resting and deep breaths. Personally, all my attacks are severe and my inhaler doesn't do anything so with severe attacks PLEASE get them medical attention. It may seem like nothing but I speak from experience when I say asthma can go from 0-100 real quick with no warning so it's better safe than sorry since you absolutely cannot share medication. I hope this helps!

      @@prettyboy1075 I asked that question because, when I'm go to camping in national park (in south east asia) my friend got asthma attack and he forgot his inhaler at basecamp, luckily one of my friend bring oxygen can so we try to do first aid and immediately go to nearby medical center, since then I wondering how treated someone that got an asthma attack but they don't bring their inhaler and we in very far from any medical center.....is there any first response manuever, tips and trick regarding that situation?

    • @prettyboy1075
      @prettyboy1075 Před 4 lety

      @@chvhndrtntlr3482 Ah I see. If they're prone to forgetting, you can carry it as they'll be with you. If the inhaler isn't nearby, pat on their back to help open the lungs as they sit in a comfortable position and focus on their breathing. If it gets worse, you'll have to continue to monitor as you call the emergency number for help.

I wheeze all the time. Then I start taking Aller- G Care capsules from Planet Ayurveda, and I am living healthy life now
