"Because It Is There" is a short film that reflects the motivations that have always driven me to travel and to explore the world. There is no reason to climb Mount Everest as well said the British explorer George Mallory, just because it's there!
I want to emphasize the great influence of the fantastic John John Florence movie, "View from a Blue Moon", where I wanted to pay tribute to one of his scenes.
"We meet in an hour of change and challenge, in a decade of hope and fear, in an age of both knowledge and ignorance.
Many years ago the great British explorer George Mallory, who was to die on Mount Everest, was asked why did he want to climb it. He said, Because it is there!
The space is there, and we're going to climb it, and the moon and the planets are there, and new hopes for knowledge and peace are there. And, therefore, as we set sail we ask God's blessing on the most hazardous and dangerous and greatest adventure on which man has ever embarked.

Hi, amazing videos! Wich camera you use? The video of South Africa is amazing, looks like you use a Red, I think Scarlet or something similar cause shouldn't be too big to bring with you around the locations.
A Red?? Nono hehe I would like it! I used a Panasonic Lumix Gh5, by far the best camera to travel light and keeping the good quality! Cheers Carlo! ;)
