Another version of this does exist, with Funeral Party and A Forest (re-broadcasted by belgian television in 2000). I'm still searching for that video.
I think I read somewhere that Robert Palmers crew actually kicked their asses afterwards. I guess mr. Palmer wasn't amused with the long end, the final remark also didn't help :P But damn, they were so good back then! Still my favourite line-up, Lol Tolhurst wasn't the most technically accomplished drummer by a stretch, but he obviously didn't get the respect he deserved. His playstyle fitted their sound so well.
You're absolutely correct! and from those days in the 80's when I thought Werchter was German because it sounded German (to me anyway) but now I'm older and more knowledgeable (well I have Google) so I know Werchter is in Belgium and the programme itself was broadcast on Dutch TV and here's A Forest in better quality... Enjoy. czcams.com/video/Cm5NJEvXkTM/video.html
Who ever yelled FIRE IN CAIRO then Mr Smith says yeah this is called Fire in Cairo.. legendary
I loved their last remark. Don’t here much about Palmer these days. The Cure they’re still doing it ❤❤❤
Typo hear
😍🤤🤭🔥💯💖💗 I love Robert Smith's voice, the timbre of his voice is so tender and rocking.
Can hear Simon's bass loud and clear even with my 78 year old ears.😁
"Fire in Cairo" sounds KILLER!
Once heard Robert Smith say "It's simple really but you've gotta have the songs". Man do they have 'the songs'.

The full video of this show needs to be uploaded. It's an amazing faith tour show. Totally worth finding on cd.
