Beautiful song. Robin’s vocals were great and Barry and Mo’s harmonies in the chorus were perfection.
Robin's beautiful voice holds you in his grip. I love "Living Eyes" and I particularly love this one. The way he sings it evokes such sadness. "All you're gonna get in the morning is a lonely night." The chorus harmonies are outstanding, as always, but draw you into the emotion even further. Thanks for diving into this album. Sometime for yourself check out Robin's son, Spencer, singing this. Like his father, Spencer has a quality that makes you emotional. There's an audio version on YT from the Gibb Collective album.
Spencer's voice is quite different but has some of the vibrato and has that special quality to pull at your heartstrings.

Wow, Chad, I'm so totally late to this party and I really don't know how I missed this wonderful reaction to such a great Robin lead. I was probably dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Ida which was only a few weeks before this reaction. Thank you for reacting to songs from the much underrated "Living Eyes". Such a hauntingly beautiful song all because of our precious angel's amazing vocals. He never fails to disappoint and neither do you!

Oh yeah, strong song that one. And Robin does it superb! Harmonies on top notch as usual. The album 'Living Eyes' at all should have been more respected, but it's been underrated. Such a big fault, because of that bloody bastard backlash! But to me, it holds in two really outstanding songs, which are on a higher level: 1. The majestic 'Be Who You Are', 2. The king of harmonysongs, 'Paradise'! Think you've done a reaction to both songs yet.

Glad you liked this one, its one of my faves from the Living Eyes album. Coming out of the second chorus, when they hit that "you're gonna be BLLUUEEEEE" and go into that George Harrison chord progression, it feels like flying, or more like floating down through a blue sky with beautiful clouds. Ok, maybe that's silly, but I love that sound.

Robin has the most unique voice & the only one that comes close now are his sons, Spencer, Who has recorded this very song & it is SO good. You can hear Robin in his voice yet he is also uniquely Spencer. RJ is also very good & sounds a lot like his Dad too but haven’t heard as much from him. Love all the Gibbs all so Talented. Wish I could sing half as good as they all do. 😊😘💕

Aw it reminds me of an interview he did where he said all their first marriages were effected by the fact they would go into their studio in the afternoon get into the swing and when they reappeared 3 songs later it was often 6 am the following morning. It was like their internal clock stopped. Their second wives knew more what to expect!
