To understand how to lose fat effectively, we first need to grasp the basics of how our bodies store and use fat. Fat is essentially stored energy. When we consume more calories than our body needs for daily activities and bodily functions, the excess calories are converted into fat and stored in our fat cells. This process is a natural survival mechanism, ensuring we have energy reserves for times when food might be scarce.
Fat storage occurs because our bodies are highly efficient at saving energy. The foods we eat are broken down into nutrients, and any excess energy that isn’t immediately used by our bodies gets stored as fat. This storage happens primarily in adipose tissues, which are located under the skin, around internal organs, and in muscle tissues.
Now, to lose fat, we need to tap into these energy reserves. This is where the concept of a caloric deficit comes into play. A caloric deficit means you’re burning more calories than you’re consuming. When your body doesn’t get enough calories from food to meet its energy needs, it starts to use the stored fat for energy, leading to fat loss. This is the fundamental principle behind all weight loss strategies: creating a caloric deficit.

Doing high intensity workout is actually counterintuitive to burning fat because as soon as the heart rate significantly rises to the point where we have to breath harder and harder, our body switches to carbohydrates as an energy source insted of fat , also high intensity workouts for an unfit person put on extrain on their muscles which their body is not built to handle and leading to injuries which can halt the routine alltogether thereby destroying the person's motivation for a long long time. IMO, 2 hours of steady workout like swimming and inclined walking paired with a steady increase in calory deficit each week will yeald SIGNIFICANTLY better results, also to the people who believe in intermitten fasting, don't do it, it does nothing but making you weaker and weaker. Eat 3 meals a day but with significantly low calory count, lean meat (cooked with spices, not bland or just boiled) with vegies and a little bit of fat (energy source) is all you need and you won't even have any cravings.

Doesn't it take at least a week to safely lose a pound or two of fat weight?

Yes it's physically impossible to lose 1 pound of fat in 1 Day. Even if you were the most conditioned and ripped person on the planet, you couldn't lose 1 pound of fat in 1 day. It takes minimum 1 week to lose 1 pound and that's even if you work out, multiple times a week, walk 12k steps a week and if you have your diet perfectly calculated

I know what a KG is, just like NASA uses the metric system for some reason.

Total crap. No a 3500 deficit a day isn’t sustainable and you’ll likely lose it in half muscle vs fat.
