Thanks so much for posting this video as it really helped. We were in Beijing a few weeks ago (March 29th, 2018) and got on the 916 express. For us the line for the 916 express in Beijing was super long but buses came quickly so only like a 30 minute wait. Constantly people coming up and asking if we needed a taxi, we kept saying no and the bus ride is overall pretty good. Once we got closer to the Huairoubeidajia station a guy dressed up in a uniform asked us if we were going to the Great Wall then proceeded to tell us we needed to get of at the next stop. I kept telling him that this was wrong and not our stop but since one of my kids exited the bus with him we all ended up getting off. I knew it was a scam but by then it was too late. The ride to the tourist office for the Great Wall cost us 60 yuan (for the six of us which wasn't to bad), but the minivan was very old. After that things got better and on the way back we used the grocery store at Huairiubeidajia station which was very cheap compared to the Great Wall area (prices are 3 times higher easily) The Great Wall of China overall is VERY amazing and well worth the effort getting there. Thanks again for posting this good video!!!

I visited Badaling Wall twice. The authority should have built railings for passengers to Q for the bus at the Wall. This way it is fair first to arrive first to board the bus. We were the second group to reach the bus stop. We stand next to the first group but those who came later did not form Q. Later more and more people arrived. When the bus arrive those arrived later at the bus stop were all rushing to the bus door as if they never board a bus before. So much so that 5 of us were separated inside the bus. Luckily all 5 of us manage to board the bus. I plan to visit Xi'an next year. Maybe i will once again go to Beijing and this time visit Mutianyu Wall. Tks for the info.

Yes, that's typical Chinese. If the bus is crowded, nobody waits for the line. I am sorry for the bad experience. But you can choose to go Badaling by train which is much better and confortable.
