This took a while to get out with all the complications with technology and voice actors and ugh it was a lot. But It was also a ton of fun, its such a great way to wind down. Since I've started college, I've learned a lot in my post production class(if you see this, Hi Professor!), using those skills, the video came out a lot better than it would otherwise.
Anyways, idk when I'm going to make my next video, I have literally giant 2 essays due next week so :P

@@reichi7213 I mean if you were to take a broader look at it toriel would probably be a lot more lonely and desperate to keep you in the ruins since sans probably wasn’t making knock knock jokes at the door

Anxietytale feels like an au that deserves and could have his own game! Not much change appart from Sans and Papyrus when you think about it, I'm not saying that I know anything about coding or making a fan game, but just that making a game out of this au would probably be easier than others like Underfell or Underswap.
It could possibly just showcase Snowdin, papyrus fight, and sans fight

To be fair it would be easier since it's mostly sans and papyrus that changed a bit. So rather than make new sprites for every monster and locations. Only two would change. Then there's the dialogue which can be changed to fit in.

I was around when the AU crazy of undertale was happening more, I wish this was around back then so people could have better and more close to home ideas than the ones that spread too far.

You know how in many aus sans is always with his other aus and rarely in his own? Well I have an au idea which is basically papyrus angst because he doesn't know where sans went and slowly losing hope in finding sans despite undyne's efforts in trying to tell not lose hope. And the player just enters a sad undertale

Why does sans have a more common reaction to seeing everyone in the world (at least to him) die by a humans hands in the timeline when he's ment to have extreme if not crippling anxiety then in 99.9% of other timeline?
Cause in all other Timelines he's the apathetic kind of Depressed
If you keep losing people, at some pint you'll start to grow numb to it cause your brain is trying to protect your body from the harmful amounts of stress that grief can create

He doesnt get sad from you killing everyone but only gets angry
Probably closer to “fatalistic” than “nihilistic.” He acknowledges that most of the things you set in motion are *gonna* happen, one way or another, since you can manipulate timelines to make it so. So he just goes “Eh. Why even care? I can’t stop it, so why would I consider resisting it?” That is, until you’re gonna shank reality. Then it’s everybody’s problem. He does also get pissed if you kill Papyrus, but even that doesn’t really make him consider the revenge approach, since you’d probably just eventually kill him if he tried.
In the other timelines he comes with depression
Jesus Christ, that ending to the Sans fight genuinely depressing.
Anxiety doesn’t even get to have the privilege of dying in his sleep.
He’s already scared of everything, and he’s forced to watch as you inch closer, unable to move because his body gave up on him.
It would be like sleep paralysis, but your paralysis demon is real and wants to kill you.
Sans woke up before dying. When will undertale fans actually play the game?

The point was that classic didn’t expect to get hit and was calm.
Anxiety knew exactly what was about it to happen and knew he couldn’t stop it.
How about you actually use your small attention span to fully read a comment rather than getting mad over a singular sentence that has barely anything to do with the main idea.
@@arandomgamer9317 I read the entire comment. You very clearly implied that sans couldnt hear Frisk getting closer unlike Anxiety, which is just untrue since theres no way he'd have even dodged if he couldn't tell Frisk was getting closer somehow
@@weavilelover sans had no way of telling frisk was going to cheat and attack. He just assumed their determination would let them find a way to attack him, so he prepared to dodge.
The point of mentioning sans falling asleep is that he wouldn’t have had any fear, as he was sleeping. Upon dodging, he only had fear a split second before getting hit.
Anxiety was filled with fear the entire battle, especially during the end when he was too tired to move.

But yeah, i cant think about many points because sans having anxiety doesnt really fit him
...Really, this Au needs more content + *context* as to why Sans is in this mood, and I can't help but say it would be stupid to make it revolve around Sans alone. The genocide route described here obviously is INCREDIBLE concerning Undertale's emotion.
i mean, it "needs" the context about as much as undertale does for why sans is so apathetic. it's not entirely necessary. nice to know perhaps, but we can just accept that sans is apathetic and depressive in undertale, just as we can simply accept that he's a justice-driven yet anxious mess of a skeleton here.

i think i heard that the creator of the au said that he was traumatized by something. he used to be the way he was in undertale, but one day he disappeared, and when he came back, he was like this and refused to tell papyrus (or anyone) what happened to him
ok adding to my last reply i just checked and yeah, something happened. sans and papyrus were going to visit undyne, but while they were in waterfall he disappeared, and when he reappeared he was like that. he was how he is in canon before he disappeared and came back.

This is the types of au’s just feels old school it’s not those types of au’s where sans is some sort god or hacker or mad man it’s just him dealing with some mental problems and it effects everyone around him it can make us relate to him in some way and that’s what I really like about this au it makes them more human then they already are

I like the idea of Undyne knowing of Papyrus' past self.
This AU needs more attention. I'm surprised an idea as unique as this one was executed this well. Its very nice, seeing the world of Undertale being altered in this way, it feels weirdly original compared to many others of the popular ones (not saying they're unoriginal, this one is just more refreshing to see that's all)
I think it's because instead of reskinning the already existing characters (UF, Outer, and many more) or switching their existing role ( Underswap, Storyshift, etc), AnxietyTale has a genuine change in character dynamic due to Sans' altered personality. I think it's safe to say this AU doesn't have a laid-back goofball like UT. Rather, what was supposed to be the Joker of the story was replaced with a paranoid person with no one else filling the gap.
I think the genocide fight difference is like what most people would act when they are facing Dangers, even though you're kind of strong or other. it just never ends.
I actually really like this AU because it’s not crazy different from the original game. Example, Nightmare and Dreams AU is just a whole different world with one familiar character, twin sanses. It doesn’t even feel like an AU at points like that. The familiarity of this one reflects the OG game in a peculiar, endearing way.

I love and hate how sanses tears are cut off by the slash at the end. It really makes it more impactful
Maybe there's a somewhat neutral/genocide ending where you almost kill papyrus leaving him to pass out and live, then skipped to the sans' fight when he starts crying you can spare sans with a cutscene showing frisk comforting sans then minutes later papyrus shows up completely fine but he won't trust you and he'll try to keep sans far away from you as possible.
I love this AU SO MUCH!! I follow the user and I just enjoy the AU so much! But the genicide route! The original already makes me sad but this is just gut wrenching! ITS SO FREAKING GOOD! ITS SO WELL DONE AND SUSGSIBSIDB ITS SO WELL DONE!

I kinda imagine anxiety Sans after getting hit would start panicking, until completely freezing up after a slow realization . He won’t move, look, or even tremble. Then I image he’d say (while looking right at the player) “Im sorry Paps, I failed-” With clear breaking in his voice before dusting while getting cut off.

then do. crying is completely normal and it helps you get things off of your mind. cry for a bit then just continue your life it helps you not break down.

I'm going to be honest, I want more content of this, even if it's possibly not yours, but still.
This is similar to me, especially when I don't take my anxiety medication, don't have a stuffed animal at least accessible in my backpack (unfortunately we are not allowed to bring it out but my science teacher is cool with it), or when I don't have my headphones and/or phone to distract my thoughts. Weird connections, I know, but it works
This also wants me to not kill even more because I don't want anyone to suffer like this. Yes, I may want to at times when I'm mad at least in the game on regular Undertale, but I'm definitely not doing genocide and possibly not neutral either, just from watching this
