While there are many fast food mascots that we love, there are just as many that we, well, to put it bluntly, just can’t stand. When it comes to creating a good mascot, playing it safe is boring. And, as you’ll see later, there is always the unpredictability of something going horribly wrong. So let’s count down the ten worst fast food mascots of all time.

SUMMARIES:
- Quiznos Spongmonkeys googly eyes and too-human teeth, this creature, whatever it was supposed to be, gave us nightmares for the better part of the early 2000s. This fictional creature belongs to the species spongmonkey.
- Oven Mitt Arby’s mascot looks like something out of a bad Pixar movie.
- Some have criticized the Denny’s sausage mascot for his unfortunate resemblance to South Park character, Mr. Hankey.
- Chuck E. Cheese was never supposed to be Chuck E. Cheese.
- McDonald’s less popular mascot was Grimace, a fuzzy purple creature shaped like a gumdrop.
- In the commercials, the Taco Bell Chihuahua was dubbed as saying "Yo quiero Taco Bell!", which translates to “I want Taco Bell!”.
- In the eighties, Domino’s came out with a new mascot called The Noid.
- Chick-fil-A executive decision was to make the mascot a cow.
- As much as we love Ronald McDonald, we have to admit that the mascot’s original iteration wasn’t kid-friendly.
- Jared was hired as a spokesperson for Subway after an impressive weight loss, which he attributed to eating only Subway sandwiches.

Even though the Yo Quiero Taco Bell dog only lasted three years, I remember it fondly. That dog was EVERYWHERE in the late 90s. I even got a collectible plush of it as a kid
The creepiest mascot to me is the Burger King "king", with that creepy large plastic head and smile.

That's pretty much why a lot of good stuff gets taken away. At least in this day and age, but it happened a lot more in the 1980s and '90s, when political correctness was in its first wave and no one cared or took it seriously.
Well, that was one reason that is said. There are others on the internet who claim the real reason The Noid was discontinued was because Domino's discontinued the 30 minute or less guarentee due to the delivery drivers being reckless and sometimes, causing accidents or injuries (with one of them leading to Domino's getting sued).

I’ve always had the idea of making the sauce packets the mascots for Taco Bell. Animate little cartoon eyes, legs and arms to them And their flavors could be their personalities. I mean the packets already have funny messages on them anyways and all the time I see kids looking for specific phrases on them and looking at them like trading cards 😂 they can even compete with each other for “who tastes the best on what” which will be what the commercials can be about. And how they interact with real life people.

I remember the Taco Bell Chihuahua! I used to like him as a kid, especially because he said "Yo quiero Taco Bell!"
I also remember in the Taco Bell kids meals, they had a cat and dog mascot, and one of them was named Nacho.

As a little girl, I LOVED Noid from Domino's, went on to love the Taco Bell chihuahua (who I thought was a boy named Dinky per an episode of Entertainment Tonight), and one of my daughters liked the Quizno's "sponge monkeys."

I don't get why anyone would have a problem with the Taco Bell chihuahua. I always found those commercials hilarious and adorable. And if anything, they made me like Taco Bell even more.
That Quiznos commercial brings back horrible memories. I actively avoided the place just because of that commercial.

Grimace was always a hilariously dark and confusing one to me. Sort of like Eeyore the donkey of depression.

Some of these mascots definitely are graphic design failures at best. This video is definitely very informative and understandably interesting. Some of these mascots had me shaking my head with distaste.🤦🏼

Oh yeah I remember seeing all those mascots except for the Noid since that was before my time. I was born in 1988 and don't remember that far back but I do remember the 90s and the Noid was not around.
I obviously know about the Noid because people talk about them a lot now though. I am honestly surprised not to see the king from Burger King on this though. I personally didn't really have an issue with him back in the 2000s, but it seems a lot of people did have issues with him.
For years when I was younger I always thought the logo was a Texas hat. Still looks like one to me
