    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  Před 2 lety +1

      You can always give it a second trim using measurements and just taking a sliver off all the sides. I've done that with several decks to fix some of my wonky mods. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

    Thank you for this video. Your mod videos have helped me tremendously. My original trim on Druid Craft ended up like your original trim. Then I used your measurement method to fix it by taking tiny amounts off - it squared up nicely without sacrificing the art. Same thing for my original trim on Llewellyn deck. I "saved" it by shaving off tiny bits and now it is almost perfect! I am now considering taking off the titles from Druid Craft... Your mod videos are SUPER! Thank you!

    Your mod videos are helping me to get closer to being brave enough (or let’s be honest, motivated enough, since I’m lazy) to try trimming one of my decks. I recently picked up the Gaian Tarot, and those huge cards with double borders are ridiculous. Love the look of Druid Craft with just the art-after I’m done with Lisa’s training course and more familiar with the cards, it might be fun to mod it and work with a deck without any titles.
    Thanks as always. And I love that your beloved Llewelyn makes it’s way one way or another into your videos. ❤️🤣

    Looks great - I love that green edging! I really need to trim mine so I can work with it - the cards are way too big for my hands, even bigger than a standard oracle.
    One thing I'll add is that there's a Fool's Dog app for this deck which includes a digital version of the big guidebook. Not only can you use it to do readings on-the-go (including custom spreads taken from the guidebook), you can screenshot individual cards (with titles) to use in your journal without the bother of a scanner. Excellent value for only a few quid/dollars 😀

    Hi! I love your channel so much! I'm about to start learning how to edge decks and was wondering in terms of the distress pads is it better to edge with the distress inks or the distress oxides? Thank you so much!

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  Před 2 lety +1

      I don't think I have ever used the oxide inks on my decks, only the regular ink pads. It's my understanding that the oxide inks are meant for easier blending so they take longer to try and I think are more opaque. I'm not sure how that would work in terms of coverage for a deck edge. It's probably not something I would use if that helps lol.

    To riffle shuffle an unevenly trimmed deck have you tried tapping both parts on the "head", that is separating into the halves and tapping them on the table with the side your thumb goes on pointing down? That way that side is smoother, and may give you a better shuffle.

    I just picked up the first St. Martin's Press edition 2004/2005 second hand with the 192 pg big book. Seems to have the more card board feeling card stock.
    Might be a tricky trim though, not only is the white border not even side to side....but it's actually crooked/at a slant....any tips to fix that using that same paper trimmer? Or just going to have to cut extra off at the slant? If that makes sense....not going to try to hold every single card at the same angle to cut exactly along the white border....

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
