I don't think there's anyone in the world i'd rather have a deep conversation with than Mike Tyson. Man probably has lived more of life than anyone in the world. The amount of lessons he must have to tell is insane.
Mike was in his prime while I was coming into my own as a teenager becoming an adult. He was the Champ of my time. The hype over an Tyson fight was historical. Everyone got to the point they just started predicting 1st round murder scenes. Even since he has retired he's lead an amazing career and lifestyle. Kudos to you bro, for coming from the gutter to resting upon your throne. We're all blessed to know your story
I don't usually listen to a full Joe Rogan podcast, although I do like him and what he does. That said, this was one of the best interviews I've ever heard. Two really cool guys vibing, and Mike is one of the greatest men of our era.
Mike Tyson is a very great, very intelligent, very insightful person. If we could be like Mike the world would be a better place. I just love him. And I really think I understand him.
@terminallyCapricious I definitely hear and feel Joe trying not to offend people on either side red or blue. he treads lightly there a d always feels the need to over explain himself
Mike Tyson is all heart. His path was very different from what a lot of us experience. I super enjoyed listening to him talk, especially about the history stuff.
I noticed that, too. I really love Joe, and I don’t want to criticize. But I wish he would have noticed the conversation was begging for the question, ‘how do you reconcile the enlightened mentality you’ve nurtured in the last ten years with the warrior mentality of 20 years ago?’, rather than continuing to try to make it about “the killer is back!” I think he was just overly excited and missed the real story. But it was still good.
Joe keeps trying to reignite the “old Mike” but it’s clear from his first couple of responses that he wants nothing to do with it but Joe keeps on persisting that he’s the “old Mike”. It’s obvious that it makes him uncomfortable and that he doesn’t wanna talk about it. I kind of wish he would stop nagging him about it and stop tryna light that fire.
there's an interview where these other lads tried to call him soft in a sentence and gloss over it. When mike puts his foot down in a convo its time to listen 🤣
Tyson one of best examples on what it means to be successful despite fighting your own temptations, learning the hard way, dealing with other ppl shit, dealing with adversaries, concurring all kinds of obstacles …..AND STILL BE A CHAMPION AS A BOXER AND HUMAN BEING. Rare gem.
I think he means to win the fight against jones isn't he's primary goal/aim, it's to just give the boxing community something to look forward to and be hyped about whilst doing it for a good cause in charity.

@@justinanderson3241 that's how I will remember him - but that's how I remembered him a decade ago. he manages to recreate himself... in the image of himself w/ a twist over and over again.
Mike is such a complex man. You can just see he’s been to war and walked a thousand miles just to get out! He is excited to fight for a good cause, but you can tell he was afraid to commit 100%. The fighting mentality was a huge ingredient in him losing everything and he thinks perhaps he can lose it all again if he fully commits. It’s a small shade of PTSD! It’s really good to see him test the waters again and be able to control it this time! To have an ego and not let it blaze out of control.
I was nervous watching it and I’m not even there 🤣 I felt like Joe was poking and poking every time he asked Tyson about the old days. And I thought Tyson would snap any minute
Joe: "If you were born in the times of Alexander the Great you would also be a conqueror?" Mike: "No, I am a conqueror now because I've conquered myself and my demons."

It was some time ago now that I found the training videos and watching them on repeat and being thankful that these recordings were made and still exist , i mean back then the importance, relevance, historical content would not have been thought about , but by eck how blessed are we to have the footage here.......
As a big Tyson fan when I was a young guy. It makes my heart happy to see Mike as happy as he has been over the recent years. Glad he has peace. I know this video is 3 years old but it still makes me happy
how do you feel about Jake Paul fighting Mikey Mikey
Roy Jones Jr has to be watching this and wondering what he's got himself into. It's an exhibition match and Tyson is talking about reawakening inner demons and all that.
Underrated comment. Lmao
Jones has his own demons
Oh for sure..Mike Tyson talked about getting an erection by hurting people... I can only imagine how Roy is feeling 😳😅
Roy jj: "yeah Mike! I think it's gonna be a great fight man we'll have a good match and see what its like to get in the ring again after all this time."
MT: "Yeah man! but Roy can you tell me why I get an erection when I think about bashing your smile into the back of your skull?"

Interviewing Mike Tyson is like playing with a lion. Long periods of fun and childish wonder followed by brief moments of sheer terror.
You just smile and nod at him to acknowledge your lower status.
And iiiiiiiii
Will always love youuuuuuu
Spot on @ alexander franzen
Just avoid looking him in his eyes too long. That way he doesn’t think you’re challenging him for dominance.
Oh stop be original
“And it’s not funny”

It's like sitting with tiger, you wanna be cool and everything but once it puts a serious face on, you better shut up and observe the next move!
@Tom Brady I'd love to see you laugh in Mike Tysons face & not straighten tf up when he says "Its not funny"
Mike D Timestamp?
@Tom Brady it's not him being a phony, just survival instincts.
In this one yes. This podcast goes from Joe thinking he shouldn't fight, to Mike smelling his BS and then shit....Mike the killer is back
Wife: Just go walk on the treadmill for 15 minutes
Mike: Ight imma go punch Roy Jones in the face

I don't usually listen to a full Joe Rogan podcast, although I do like him and what he does. That said, this was one of the best interviews I've ever heard. Two really cool guys vibing, and Mike is one of the greatest men of our era.
Mike Tyson is a very great, very intelligent, very insightful person. If we could be like Mike the world would be a better place. I just love him. And I really think I understand him.
When you're speaking to someone who speaks with 100% honesty and absolutely no filter...

Definitely Mike Tyson? Because we're not talking about the fake shill paid for puppet Joe Rogan
Victor Angelo wanna expand on that?
@terminallyCapricious I definitely hear and feel Joe trying not to offend people on either side red or blue. he treads lightly there a d always feels the need to over explain himself
The respct joe has for mike is so great that he never even talks over him..
And that is no small thing
That may just be self preservation lol
Respect mixed in with a little fearfulness lol

Mike Tyson is all heart. His path was very different from what a lot of us experience. I super enjoyed listening to him talk, especially about the history stuff.
He looks 10 years younger in this podcast than the 1st one. Unreal mindset and dedication from Iron Mike.

Joe keeps trying to get him to talk about his warrior mentality and mike wants to talk about finding inner peace.

I felt like Joe was trying to motivate him in this interview.....but Tyson uses his inner warrior for good.
I know bro.. you can tell mike was getting frustrated, just talking about the fight.
3:58 joe immediately stopped laughing, when mike said its not funny 😅😅
Big boy shit😬
there's an interview where these other lads tried to call him soft in a sentence and gloss over it.
Rare gem.

Joe was nervous the entire time. Lol
He couldn't ask questions comfortably.
I was nervous watching it and I’m not even there 🤣 I felt like Joe was poking and poking every time he asked Tyson about the old days. And I thought Tyson would snap any minute

Man, he's one of the most unassumingly intelligent people I can think of. Looking forward to fight, but really only cause I love some Mike Tyson.
I like how Joe is trying to talk to Mike about being an a boxing madman and Mike just wants to talk about peace and Zen.
Because joe is scared and wants to kiss tysons ass😂 hes in the presence of one of the most alpha people alive, he thinks that by talking about "alpha" shit, he'll appeal more to mike and his interests. He doesnt have the confidence to get real and deep with Tyson
If you have that degree of destructive potential in your fists, living inside civilized society, I mean Christ...no wonder he's after the Zen. The man is absolutely terrifying there's simply no way us plebs can comprehend his struggles. Dude has demons and any day we don't have to face em too that's a good day. Mike Tyson needs to make a movie that tells the story of his life and how he became a great fighter.
There are a ton of documentaries about his life..
Tyson, Fallen Champ: The Untold Story of Mike Tyson, Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, Mike Tyson: The Knockout, Champs, Mike Tyson: Beyond the Glory.. I could go on.. but his autobiographical one is the Undisputed Truth.. I believe from 2013/2014, not 100% sure when it was released but it talks about his life growing up and getting into boxing!!
