- Today we visited a local farm auction in search for deals. This type of estate auction is my all time favorite and we can't wait to share what we bought! As soon as we got home we put our auction purchases to work. Thanks for watching and God Bless!

I may be the odd girl out, but I love the idea of a small tractor for Ransom. He deserves it, hes such a big help and hes the quintessential little farmer.
I SOO agree with you. He has definitely earned that. He’s a very hard worker and always willing to help and do whatever dad asks him to do. That is so very rare to have in a boy his age, let him at least work to earn it, that will keep him motivated and proud of himself. He is something to see. I’m proud of all three for their individual achievements and talents. Such good kids, they reflect the fantastic parenting they receive. Bravo Cassie and Gary 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼‼️❤️❤️❤️

I went to an auction, my first, and I was fanning myself with my bidding card not knowing I was bidding on a cement wheel! Lol he realized I didn’t have a clue when I started looking to see who bought it. It was me but the look on my face showed I had no idea and he started the bid over again. He did tell me to quit waving my bid card! Lol😂

that was so nice to be at an auction and to see the boys interest. I look forward to Ransom's work on cleaning up the cast iron frying pans! Catch clean and cook sounds good to me! Love the idea that Ramson wanted to buy cast iron pans to clean up. I love cast iron. My daughter has her grandmas and took it too Kenya for 2 years when she taught at a mission school . She was the envy of some of the ladies there. 🇨🇦

Auctions are so much fun. Ransom will enjoy restoring the cast iron pans. It is so satisfying when you can bring an item back to life. It is so nice seeing the boys having fun riding around on the farm with their 4 wheeler and go cart. It is nice that you were able to get safety flags for the 4 wheeler and go cart. I have been unsubbed but my Notifications have also been SWITCHED FROM all to personalized more than once and I have had to go back and chose the ALL option again .. Ranger is getting so grown up!
Cool idea for the flag on the go cart, it’s hard to see it though. Maybe get some type of material that’s really bright, cut it into three inch wide strips and and probably three or four feet long, so when you tie a bunch on the top, you’ll be able to see them really well from a distance. Awe you should add a small American flag on each of them.
On the Cast Iron Skillets you could Make a camp fire and put the skillets in the coals and it will clean them up perfectly.
Time spent with your boys at the auction , was time well spent. A little elbow grease should go a long way.

Cast iron fry pans are awesome. When I lived on a farm most of the time whether it be a fry pan or pot pan I cooked with them all the time. I looked forward to getting the fry pan ready to cook in. I smell the bacon cooking now. YUMMY!!!
Tell Ransom cast iron skillets make the best cornbread. Just get a wire brush for the drill to get a lot of it rest off and then I soak mine in baking soda for about a hour or two brush it off put oil on it put it in the oven and bake it for an hour and 250 then I salt it in course salt, rinse it oil, it bake it. I repeat the oil and bake 6 times. Then I never use water on it ever again. Cleaning after cooking only with course salt.

Gary and Ransom! Great find on the cast iron skillets! Now buy a couple two liter bottles of COCA COLA and pour it in them and let set four at least 24 hours. You will be amazed how it removes the rust and gunk. You’ll never drink coke again! Makes you wonder what it does to our tummies 🤣

@@catchingupwiththewalkers I found a skillet that was solid rust. I figured it wasn’t worth saving. Then I soaked it in a Rubbermaid container covered in coke. I was amazed at the outcome! I use it in the house in my collection now. Ransom is so funny and ready to experiment, I’m sure he will love doing it! 💕💕💕💕

Actions are great to go to ,you never know what you can find, but it is sad that someone had to leave their farm.
The cast iron skillet that you had is way older that the one Ransom had they clean up good. I got some from my mom that came from my dad's mom, mom. Look at the bottom of both of them, you will see the difference

It was a fun day at the auction. Tell Cassie she should get the boys some of her ball teams' flags to go on their new flag poles. Make a video and point it out to Brandon Eddie for a laugh.
My Dad and I use to go to Auction. And Animal Sales. We had a grade a dairy farm.

A F2 tornado in Janesville WI where my brother lives and an entire Pheasant farm was destroyed. They are not allowed to capture the Pheasant that escaped so there are over a couple of Pheasant on the loose.

That was a busy day. I'm not much for going places where I have to stand a lot because of lower back problems. Ransom is going to have a good project cleaning those old skillets But they will be great for cooking in when he gets it done!

Put the pans in a hot fire and burn off the rust then put cooking oil on them and stick them back in the fire and season them. Then you will have two great frying pans
