    I have used variety of fresh flowers here to create a very special funeral tribute, it can be adjusted to any combination of letters. The main flower is a dyed chrysanthemum, but I have also included roses, white chrysanthemums and foliage. I hope you have found this useful as it can be a daunting task especially mastering how to box pleat the outer ribbon.
    Hope you enjoy the video!

    I remember making one of these for my mom, on the day of her funeral. It was hard, but meaningful as she was never my blood mom, but she deserved only the best for her resting place.

      Where do you buy?

    • @BlackRose85789

      @@allisonfish6895 you need to get you supplies from dollar tree. The trick is cutting the shape of the letters. But take my word for it. Don't do orchids unless for a little side piece. I would suggest going to Walmart first to buy a flat piece of foam that you can stick into the flowers. You will also need to buy wire cutter so you can snip the flowers off because you need the length of wire that is inside the bushel of flowers that you'll buy from Dollar tree. If you prefer the real ones then you need to soak the foam in the water so that the flowers will live longer. Look up funeral flower arrangement and I'll give you a better idea on how to create your own. But as for the supplies I bought them all at Dollar tree and I paid a bare minimum of $20. It was a lot more cheaper and especially affordable compared to what the funeral was asking. Also if you plan to leave it down there I highly recommend buying long sticks to prod into the ground and it has to be at least half a foot deep because you wanted to stay firm without it blowing away. so make sure that when you place it on The headstone that you have multiple ones pierced inside where they cannot be seen. You can use something like bamboo skewers because they're tiny but at the same time they can be hidden.

    @Hardys Flowers Hi, I'm ordering something very similar from a florist neer me and I've been told I have to collect the flowers on the morning of the funeral because once they're painted they'll close up and spoil the design. I can't see this online anywhere. Have you heard of this?

      @HardysflowersUk  Před 7 lety +3

      Hi Laura, so sorry for the delayed response, i hope it's not to late! It very much depends on what type of flowers you are using. But i always make my arrangements 1 day before if possible. Chrysanthemums are very forgiving and you could get away with making it a few of days before. But you want it to look as fresh as possible so i would always recommend making it as close the event as possible (though never on the actual day in case of issues with flowers etc). Hope this helps!

    • @HardysflowersUk
      @HardysflowersUk  Před 7 lety +1

      Hi Saffia, Witth Oasis you can just stick the flowers strait in. So long as the stem is at least a little bit strong it will stick in and hold to wet oasis! Thanks!

      Hi Jay Li,
      Not sure, I think roughly 2-3 bunches of chrysanthemums per one. That said its difficult to get it right, always over buy!

      Hardys Flowers Thank you so so so much. I asked because some weeks ago I made a sympathy arrangement for my late dad. He was buried in his country, so decided to make an artificial one. I used roses which were a little bigger, and used less. But buying over was very very helpful.
