The Kind of Stardom which Kumar Gaurav received, no other star received so quickly.

I had watched this movie in 1981. How beautiful and innocent that time was. I think this movie was the pioneer in its style and all such romantic musical films were released after it. It was a trend setting movie. Sunjay dutt's Rocky, Jackie Shroff's Hero, Sunny Deol's Betaab and later Amir Khan, Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan's love stories were in the following years of 1980s and 1990s. While 1970s era was of totally action heros. This movie suddenly changed the mood of cinema goers. And now I'm watching it after 40 years. What a nostalgia. Everything has changed, streets, people, their emotions, days, nights and particularly evenings. 😭🙏

In all the hit and popular movies of Kumar Gaurav like Love Story, Teri Kasam, Romance, Janam, etc., Amit Kumar sang superhit songs for Kumar Gaurav. 'Janam' (1985) is considered as the best movie of Kumar Gaurav and I think he got the best actor award for 'Janam'.

I liked the scene when Pinky slapped Bunty for such beautiful reason. Children should respect their Parents. My best movie in the world is famous movie kumar Gaurav
When released in 1981 this was a great hit all over India. We loved the fresh new wonderful looking pair and the melodious songs, photography etc. The Himalayan backdrop and the song in Valley of Flowers were a bonus. Even after 4o years, I love to hear and watch these songs.
Kumar Gaurav , even though equal to his peers like Sanju ,SalmanK etc in looks, acting and screen presence , could not taste real success as he had a string of flops later. Even though these films were actually good. Maybe he should have persevered like AmitabhB who had a series of flops in his early career. I feel Kumar Gaurav quitting films prematurely is a loss to Hindi cinema
