Richmond Officer Daniel Ellis is escorted to local funeral home

Local residents lined the street as fallen Richmond KY police officer Daniel Ellis was returned to Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home. A US flag was raised between two ladder trucks. Ellis died from gunshot wounds in the line of duty. Video by Pablo Alcala | Staff

My condolences to the Family. Our community of Coeur d'Alene, ID lost one of our men in blue in a very similar way this last May. May 5, 2015 Sgt Greg Moore was shot and killed in the line of duty as well. I wish God's Peace to everyone who has decided to protect and serve your community and put their lives on the line. THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO!!
