    Hi
    This car came to me with with a couple of faults...
    In this video, I will bee looking at the issue withbthe engine light being illuminated...
    A quick scan, on the engine module, reported an issue with the FACM... or Fuel Additive Control Module.
    Scanning the FACM, reported an issue with the level of the additive in the tank...
    Follow me on this video to find out what was the problem and how to resolve it.

    The ABS / traction control light is an ABS module fault. I have a 2009 , 2.0L Petrol Mazda 3 with a touch over 200K miles (324K klm). It’s going to be a hefty repair bill to recondition the original module, as the modules are specific to the model year of the car. I’m looking a almost the equivalent of £1000 to
    to have the module removed, repaired & refitted ( with new brake fluid, all bled). 😕

    Luís, could you had the tank filled up and then just had the codes erased, so that no reset was needed? If so, no one would require an expensive scan tool to fill up the FAT and have the selftest done to complete the repair/refill.

    • @beluxauto5968
      @beluxauto5968 Před 2 lety +3

      No. Lucky for ud it requires a capable scan tool and the knowledge. Different resets for different vehicles and also different after treatment fluids.

Anyway, I found a video on CZcams where a guy fills up a Mazda 3 1.6 diesel FAT and then uses a ForScan scan tool with an Android App. Only 30€ plus free download for few months for a Windows version, or 130€ for an OBD/Bluetooth adapter plus the Lite version for some 140€ combined!
      It seems the Adblue system is better than the PSA system and much cheaper and easier to refill. Although, the adblue doesn't help the FAP regenerate, right?

Either that or go with the rest, post-cycle fuel injection strategy but then you risk a blown engine because of diesel contamination of engine oil. I bought a Pug diesel on 100k. It's now on 200k and never had to refill. Computer shows 1 litre left, so maybe another 30k miles left until I do..... no smoke, perfect regeneration.
