Great technique. I use it on all my recordings. Recommend leaving in the original cymbal hits on the foundation drum track. This serves as a âroom micâ that fills in the spatial gap between the panned cymbals-which can be dramatic (and distracting) depending on which kit you use.
Great additional info my friend! Thanks for sharing. đ
when in edit mode, if you tap and hold eg the snare drum, all events get selected. I call this âsilent selectâ đ
Once again a very useful video. Thanks Pete!
Oh yes! I did know that and pretty sure I made a video in it? So much to remember.
EPIC, Thanks
Youâre very welcome my friend. I hope you get value from the other videos here on the channel and consider subscribing. đ
Love the quick tips Pete! đ
Cheers Chandlers!
Very interesting, thanks Peteđđ»
Cheers Kev.
Very useful video, Pete. I could have used this on a previous project lol. As a side note, it would be great if you had a trick up your sleeve for adding a crash cymbal choke đ.
Ooh! Might need another video on that. Our friend Gary Hubbs uses volume automation to do this and it works great for him. I might ask for one of his projects to demonstrate it.
I wish we could do this in the same track, it would be pretty simple imo to change them
Yup.
Apple should be paying you a consultancy fee!
Totally agree đ
Haha! They do let me borrow cool gear that I wouldnât be able to afford. I guess thatâs something! đ
Awesome Tip, Thanks Pete đ
