    Great technique. I use it on all my recordings. Recommend leaving in the original cymbal hits on the foundation drum track. This serves as a “room mic” that fills in the spatial gap between the panned cymbals-which can be dramatic (and distracting) depending on which kit you use.

    when in edit mode, if you tap and hold eg the snare drum, all events get selected. I call this “silent select” 😀

    Very useful video, Pete. I could have used this on a previous project lol. As a side note, it would be great if you had a trick up your sleeve for adding a crash cymbal choke 😊.

      Ooh! Might need another video on that. Our friend Gary Hubbs uses volume automation to do this and it works great for him. I might ask for one of his projects to demonstrate it.
