Freddie was and still is the best.
Best performance, best singer, i’m speechless
We will NEVER EVER see a frontman like Freddie AGAIN. Best there was & best there ever will be. THE GOAT.
I’ve never seen 70,000 plus ppl get serenaded at the same time!❤️😭
So many of Freddie's songs were directly from his real-life experience, and Love of my life was surely one. ( Freddie once said: "All my lovers asked me why they couldn't replace Mary, but it's simply impossible. The only friend I've got is Mary, ) There is no doubt this song was about his love for Mary though they couldn't live to gather, they even grew closer in many ways. He always took care of her and left her half his immense fortune. ( You will remember
When this is blown over
And everything's all by the way
When I grow older
I will be there at your side to remind you
How I still love you (I still love you)
Hurry back, hurry back
Please, bring it back home to me
Because you don't know
What it means to me.
When Freddie heard Montserrat Caballe sing for the first time he went nuts and had to meet her. We all know how that went, and Barsolina tells the story.
I had this perfect dream
This dream was me and you
I want all the world to see
A miracle sensation
My guide and inspiration
Now my dream is slowly coming true
The wind is a gentle breeze
The bells are ringing out
They're calling us together
Guiding us forever
Wish my dream would never go away
Barcelona!
It was the first time that we met
Barcelona!
How can I forget
(((The moment that you stepped into the room
You took my breath away)))
It was the Hotel Ritz where Montserrat Caballe agreed to meet him.
So many of Freddie's songs were about a segment of his life and that's what makes them so special.
He was the man who could control the crowd with one hand, bow to them, throw a kiss and end of the performance give them the arse ! Oh Freddie how I miss you !!!
Freddie is fantastic, but Brian playing that 12 string is just as beautiful.
When your voice is analyzed by science then you know it is special.
I was there that night. And a year ( all but a day ) before this performance, I watched Freddie and Queen perform at the same Arena ( Live Aid 1985 ). I actually lost my voice on both ocassions with all the joining in of their songs. I loved watching your reactions to this piece. Still brings a tear to my eye when I hear this. Long Live Queen !!
I am green with envy!
I was there singing along, a great day!
Lucky you!
So was I my 1st ever concert and still the best.
@@markupham4368Me Too! I'm even on the footage at the very front. One of my best days ever!
So was I!
@@shepchester3567 I'm somewhere in the middle
Lady, I find you're critique of this great song & performance incredibly emotional. They're will never be another Freddie. Thank you very much.
My favorite Freddie song he wrote for Mary.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
What a voice. Miss you Freddie.
What a voice ✔
What a power ✔
What a communicator ✔
he is missed by everyone, he was one of a kind. a four octave range.
I agree he was a one of a kind. The four octave range isn't anything special.
Actually he doesn't have a 4 octave range. He subconsciously used subharmonics by vibrating the ventricular folds of his larynx to create vocal control.
@@douglasmcfarland9040 BOLLOX
“A four octave range is nothing special?”
Do you know what an octave is?
👍
3:18 And we still and always will love you Freddie! 🤗🤗🤗
I missed out on Freddie back in the day, too. And, like you, I often say, "I wish I could have been there!" He gives me the shivers and sometimes I find myself holding my breath so I can hear only his voice. He just sends me to the moon.
it brings tears to my heart when i hear his amazing voice again we missssssssss him so much
Finally a vocal coach who knows how to comment on a video of Freddie Mercury without feeling obliged to talk about marc martel ... THANKS...
boto the Big Deal is to dare to compare FREDDIE MERCURY & marc martel...that those who are in ecstasy before "the talent" of marc martel should find videos of his own compositions and react on it...it will change a little...
@@epsilon1234 Whoa...Marc is no Freddie for sure, but he is still talented fella who deserves some respect. You're too biased man, Marc doesn't have that "magic" like Freddie had, but technically he's pretty much equal if not better. Take care of yourself fam.
They should'nt even be mentioned in the same sentence. Marc martel, yes hes a great singer, with a loud powerful voice, but is'nt anywere near freddie mercury. Freddie was a amazing singer, with a great powerful, and unique voice that captures any audience in seconds, hes a top notch songwriter, and a entertainer you cant take your eyes off, when on stage, and all this rolled into one perfect package. You cant teach what freddie had, no matter how hard you try. Marc marcel will never reach legendary statis in his lifetime (sorry marc). Freddie on the otherhand is without a doubt a true legend.
I don't enjoy listening to Marc Martel. If you want to hear another beautiful version of this (of course Freddie singing it gives me chills), check out Shuba and Brian May. Martel lacks the appeal, the sense of humor, the rapport.
@@epsilon1234 Never even heard of Marc Martel so i doubt Freddy has too much to be worried about , he never had and will never have an equal vocally or otherwise THE END .
Where has this lady been all these years thank God for our times in the 70 and 80 we had the best music ever.
That image @1.35 looking from the back of the stage, towards Freddie, with a sea of faces & the spotlight on him, arm held aloft....such an iconic image....thankyou Freddie 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Freddie is a thing of beauty to behold. Even in a Boop shirt.
I Love your comment, I also, love Freddie's Betty Boop T/shirt, he seemed to wear it a lot, & he suited yellow imo that is. 💕👑
Freddie looked good even with a plastic bag on him❤️
Love your comment!!!
The man had tremendous range. He never wanted to pull his teeth. It was mentioned in the BR movie .
What makes this all the more amazing is that he had a head cold at the time.
he could sing in every condition ! When he recorded his last song "Mother Love" he was very very ill !!! terminally ill !!!
The 2 of them worked so well together. Freddie seemed to know when to go lower when he needed to. He said he would never fix his teeth because he was afraid it would change his head voice. Love him so much❤️
I was fortunate to see Queen twice in the late 70’s.
I was blown away how he entertained the whole crown.
Best rock voice ever. Gawd I miss them.
Greatest front man of all time for sure
It still gives me goosebumps. So emotional. Everytime. Am crying. FFS. Miss you you Freddie. X
Love her reaction. She's done my two best Freddie Mercury songs: Love of My Life and the Barcelona with Montserrat Caballe. She is so right on in her analyses. Thank you.
He,s a great singer, artist, and performer RIP Freddie
Cry every time I see this.... He was one of a kind and there will be no one like him....
An interviewer once asked Freddie . “you play a lot of instruments , which is your favourite?” He replied “ The audience Darling!”
None like Freddy Mercury...Amazing Voice!!
That concert is my a absolute favorite to watch. He was magical. That voice is not of this world!!!!

Isn’t he just amazing! I absolutely LOVE him! Still gives me chills. Such a wonderful person too 💕💕💕
He was one of the greats.
VIDEOHEREBOB he was the great.
He is the great
GOAT
GOATED
Queen and Wembley was an epic moment in my life, that’s for sure.
The thing about Freddie mercury is he had such a powerful expressive voice. I honestly believe there is no one on the radio today back in touch and vocally. The most recent one that could come close might be Adele because she does have an amazing voice. But Freddy was a one-of-a-kind phenom. Style of music that queen did was unique to them. They blended so much together to get that unique one of a kind sound. There was no other bad at the time that sounded like them. I grew up with all of the stuff with popular and brand new. I went to a school growing up where I learned to play classical violin mandolin and I sang in the chorus. But my musical taste were very good. I always believe that if you want to enjoy music you have to encompass a lot of genres. There are genres however I will not give credence to. Rap, death metal or opera LOL. And ironically opera has a key component of what queen did.
A perfect song to really hear him showcase his voice and feel the power and emotion is the song, who wants to live forever.
much like you I never listen to other back in the day. I have listen to him sense and I do like their self. I was a huge John Mellencamp fan. He wasn’t the best singer but the content and subject matter of this music I identified with.
Thank you for posting this reaction video. You can consider me a new subscriber.
Ah the unique immortal Freddie! Come back!
I Love your comments.
You have power in the words.
Freddie is unbelievable.
I was in Rock in Rio.....
André from Brasil
I have been so thankful for YT so I could revisit Queen through most of Freddie’s time. Thank you!
Freddie Mercury: Simply THE BEST.
Best vocal ever
There was and is no one like Freddie! I cry every time.
How can you not cry. It literally breaks my heart that I was too you long to go see them. No words can articulate just how good they were and Freddie my god!!!
I'm a singer myself and I LOVE Freddie and Queen, they're one of the pillars of my life! And I must say I LOOOOOVE the calm way you teach singing techniques and the way you appreciate and analyze Freddie's singing. Your videos are a joy to watch ma'am, keep on going! Warm greetings from Brazil ♥️ (P.S.: also, I love your hair!)
Your reaction when he started to sing was beautiful, just the begining of the song filled your heart with love and joy! I put a smile on my face and I felt chivers when he started singing, this man is absolutely amazing!
More than a singer or a man. Immortal!
Freddie was special.
I missed him as I was a little too young but now I cannot get enough of his singing his videos all of his songs I just love everything he is the best!❤️
Alright , I just got chills big time. This is so lovely. No one could sing this better than Freddie.
The love of my life was taken from me this past April. I am truly heartbroken that she left me. Thank you for your reaction to this wonderful song by Queen.
Always brings a tear to my eye!
Probably the most wholesome video I’ll ever watch
Long live Freddie
Incredible amazing he is
the best singer this earth has ever had.👌💕💔
He was absolutely amazing!
I adore your reaction and I learnt something new today at 49yrs old, I think of Mick Jagger. Steven Tyler. all with large mouths, Im a huge Queen fan and I can watch and/or listen to Freddie all day and simply never get bored..
I love your reacting to Love of My Life . Freddy’s voice is so powerful , beautiful and poignant . His heart is in his voice ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for reacting to Freddie.....he was the Best!!
He's still the best.
Fabulous day. It still makes the hair on my neck stand up.
Thanks Freddie!!
Bittersweet feeling
Love my life...Freddie ❤❤❤❤❤
Keep on returning to this. This performance. Symbiotic.
What a lovely reaction! His voice is so beautiful, and he really was the master of it! The performance convinces me that the audience may really have been the love of his life! That is a performer par excellence! You even delighted in how funny Freddie was--here is just the little moves, but he has so many touches of humor from the use of his mic stand to his back-bends. Ah, I am smiling, too!
You didn't go older Freddie. You will always remain younger.😭
This is one of the last three live shows from Queen. Since May and Taylor are still performing, the thought of what the whole band would have done with 34 more years to work with boggles the mind.
Don’t forget Brian May’s contribution too. Consummate guitarist, and the founder of Queen
Incredible voice lyrics dance...unique style... And the Greatest showman ever💖💖😘😘😘😍😍😍🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Their will NEVER be another Freddie.....
I saw Queen three times that summer....in moments such as this there was a hint of ending, an era coming to a close..Queen were peerless..
OMG that was brilliant!
Ho freddie, we miss so much
Just one of a kind, stunning.
Beloved Freddie
I was lucky enough to see them live in 1980 on "The Game" tour (yeah, I'm old.) Quite an experience. Freddie's gift was making the audience feel like they were not just passive observers but part of the show. It was a party. And it went by way too quickly. I'm glad younger people at least have videos they can watch to sort of experience what we did back then.
I could not agree more. Today's youth love Freddie's music as much as any generation and it will live on forever. Look how many people cover his songs.
I would love to see a vocal coach react to White Queen live at the Hammersmith Odeon 1975, it is one of the best live performances I've ever seen.
oh my God that performance is absolutely breathtaking!!! One of my favorites!
Beautiful
Where have you been for the past 39 years how can a voice coach not have heard everything Freddie mercury has sung.
That clip always makes me misty eyed. Just awesome!
The greatest ever for sure 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️
I’m so blessed. I was a great Queen fan. I lived during the best live music bands that has ever been. Freddie we miss you. Queen had 3 lead singers in their own right. Roger and Brian could have been the lead in any band. But Freddie………
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
It is my perception that the central theme running through almost all of Queen's music is love. And, as you say, that idea of love is ever so strong in this great love song. Thank you for your reaction.
I love your comments on Queen. Very genuine.
There's very few singers that can sing as well as this. Freddie had a beautiful, magical quality to his music and this was no exception. This is why they're my favorite band of life, forever. I am really sad I'll never get to seem them live with Freddie. I would give almost anything. And, believe it or not, Mr. Mercury had no voice training at all.
Thanks for the notification. Have been looking forward to another Freddie Mercury song reaction from you. Brian was splendid and Freddie Magnificent.
Now..have you reacted to Roger Taylors performance on I'm in love with my car?
Otherwise I would love to hear it..cause he has a pretty decent voice also
czcams.com/video/1PTNJmycuEg/video.html pretty good job singing and drumming at that age
What made him so good was the incredible muscles in his neck.
I can't thank you enough for reacting to one of Freddie's greatest songs! He had had HIV for a few years and died just 5 years after this performance. And yet, his voice was able to be both incredibly powerful and soft and sweet at the same time. We are so lucky it was filmed so that generations to come can appreciate true talent! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this moving performance! I've always wondered since he was a smoker, and quite ill how he was able to run up and down stairs, dance his butt off, and yet have such incredible breath control while singing live! Any ideas?
He didn't have to walk. His singing was so densely powerful that its gravity well sucked him toward the microphone even from 30 seconds ahead in time.
This is amazing
Thank you, Jenny!
Emozioni incredibili da una voce formidabile r.i.p.freddy
You should also take a review of Freddie’s opera album. It’s very mind blowing especially considering he had no operatic training what so ever just having watched a few operas.
I’m reacting twice. Same. Sweet reaction.
One of my very favorite Queen songs and its hard to believe it isn't on either of their greatest hits albums. Please, please react to "You Take My Breath Away" live at Hyde Park. Its Freddie at his most beautiful and poignant!!! A MUST!!
Because it wasn't a hit. The studio version wasn't released as a single however a live version was but didn't chart very high.
She already reacted to it.
Rest in peace FREDDIE YOUR MISSED MORE THAN YOU KNOW. 💔💔
Pls give your reaction on Freddie’s song “Let Me In Your Heart Again.” I love this song esp how he sings it with so much emotion.. thank you and God bless you more..
Heartbreaking watching Brian May perform this song alone at Queen concerts with an empty chair beside him.
Same here, my era but somehow they went under my radar. Obsessed now❤️
Amazing voice ever 👑
I loved your reaction. So honest and from your heart. Freddie had so many sweet moments with his audience. Just lovely.
Talk about awesome and connecting, wow you're the bomb Valerie, love you girl. just magical, hugs..
Try Who Wants To Live Forever at Wembley 1986, there are two versions (2 different days) and both have there merits and worth listening to. Incredible vocals, so powerful, OMG. ❤️Freddie❤️
Just wanted to add, although the Saturday performance was amazing, in the Friday 11 July 1986 performance, feel his emotion @ 1.05m he almost levitates at 1.50m and the ferocity and power starting at 2.51m, oh my! ... Enjoy ❤️Freddie❤️
Yes I agree. I was at the concert on the 12th and it was wonderful.
Only through CZcams do I realise FM was a little better on the Friday with WWTLF(took over 30 years to realise it 😃) although the Saturday was still brilliant.
Probably Friday took it out of his chords.
I feel exactly like you do though I'm not a voice teacher….I was aware of Queen and noticed some songs but I wasn't into rock n' roll that much - more Bob Dylan and Eagles. And I'm thinking now what was I doing in the 70s and 80s ??? I am absolutely gobsmacked by Freddy and Queen, his inner and outer beauty, charm and of course his voice and dedication to his art.
Dear ma'am, I love this song and I play it on my 6-string and I perform it ok and I still get (a little) better every day - it is very important to approach Freddie's song(s) very softly, that is, if you ever wanna get to his bombastic sound. English is not my native language but I want to say that you have to whisper Freddie's song in training in order to bring it out loud on stage (by "whispering" you will give all the info to your brain).
