Honestly this episode was just a 10/10 I had to rewatch most of it like 4 times. A-Train's somber revenge death, Hughie and Butcher going further into the dark, MM and Annie taking the high road, Frenchie and Kimiko being somewhere in the middle trying to move forward from their pasts, and that fight scene it was all amazing.
So the episode was... wholesome?

I think Soldier Boy was having a tough time reactivating his chest beam because he just used it minutes ago before that scene
yea...and the last one was triggered by that russian pop song, whereas he had to do on his own the second time

Maybe he also was trying to control his powers so it was a smaller blast that only would of killed homelander and not hughie and butcher too.

@GREEN Homelander delivered a full blast on Butcher chest and it didn't even leave a scratch and Hughie took a Starlight beam to the chest also without a scratch plus he has regeneration and can just teleport out, so they would receive a few scratches but nothing major for not receiving the focused blow, since most of the peeps that were in the party were low tier supes with the exception of Deep. Butcher and Hughie are resilience and strenght Homelander level.
That was the first time someone hurt Homelander. You can tell he was running in fear for the first time!
That was SO satisfying
And now we know that Hughie and Butcher have Homelander level strenght and invulnerability, can't wait for the next 2 episodes and season 4.

@Jack Taliaferro Homelander has an array of 6 powers while the others have an average of 3 per person, so saying equal powers is very inaccurate since they were only equal to him in Strenght, invulnerability, not to mention they still don't have combat experience with their powers, its the first time they really fought.
I get that MM was mad and really wanted to get Soldier Boy, but he’s missing the bigger picture. Once Soldier Boy kills Homelander, MM could have him then. I’m pretty sure Butcher wouldn’t care. But killing Soldier Boy now would leave them with Homelander-the bigger threat-still standing.
Yup, and MM is frustrating because he refuses to acknowledge that you can’t fight these supes with guns…butcher realized you need fo level the playing field with compound V but MM is being stubborn and it’s annoying

I found myself actually wanting Homelander to not die here. Antony Starr has been too great in this role and the day he’s gone, one of TVs greatest villains is gonna go with him. I’m not ready for that ride to be over. This episode turned this entire show on its head. It’s gonna be an incredible finish.
Yeah, and finally if someone kills homelander, I don't want him/her to be another psychopath like soldier boy. I want someone who has a good soul to kill or neutralize homelander.

While I absolutely agree, I think it's really terrible writing when shows give plot armor to characters that are popular or well acted. As a television audience we need to be unafraid to kill our heroes...literally.
I'd much rather see Antony Starr go out on top unexpectedly than to stretch out Homelander's arc to The Boys Season 12 or something.

It's just that I don't want a douchebag beating homelander. I'm more than happy to see homelander destroy everything, but if someone kills homelander, then that someone should have a moral compass. @@arcanevi4477 I don’t want the show to end like 3x6 did. I want the entire show to end with someone doing the right thing and it’s actually like superhero’s. I want it to end somewhat like that because the whole plot of the show is superhero’s not doing the right thing. A show like this, the way this episode ended was my least favorite. It goes from ending with a superhero doing the right thing, that can only happen in the series finale, or the way 2x8 ended but that’s only possible for a season finale. So finales have better odds at being better but it doesn’t matter. I didn’t like season 1 finale nearly as much as this episode.

A-train killing Popclaw was full on premeditated murder, and I feel like a lot of people forget that. Not even an accident, or a heat of the moment thing, just full on went to her house to kill her to protect his reputation. I'm glad someone finally called him out on his shit where suddenly he cares and wants justice just because a supe hurt someone he's close to. Like he was laughing the next day about running through Robin and killing her. Fuck him.
Some people are just so obsessed with redemption arcs they'll forget anything for a happy ending.
I’m glad someone called him out because he’s still a major douchebag, but at least he seems to be recognizing his mistakes with his apology. However, I’m sure A train is gonna die soon because no one that strong is gonna be “good” in this show 😂

Honestly fuck him.., but at the same time, he’s actually genuinely sorry. It’s a crock of shit that it had to happen to him to finally start down the path, but at least he’s doing it now. I do believe they’ll recisitate him and he’ll actually start being a better person, and more then likely die fighting homelander or saving hughie to bring everything full circle.

Using Herogasm as a backdrop and nudity to convey vulnerability is freaking brilliant. This episode was so much more than I could have imagined. For me personally, I love seeing Soldier Boy and Butcher in a scene together. Huey brings out that thread of vulnerability in SB much like he does in Butcher and I enjoyed that. The scene with Newman and Starlight was so uncomfortable and I really wonder what could stop Newman. I think SB is right; BN didn't orchestrate the Russians taking him. I think Stan was somehow behind it seeing a bigger picture. Wondering if SB couldn't fully power up after such recent use of his power. It really was interesting seeing him face Homelander. If Payback was the first team of supes then Soldier Boy had never faced anything with the power and supe skills Homelander possesses. Wonder what his take on the outcome of their first encounter will be. I'm sure his uber masculinity took a hit from that one and he will stay teamed up with Butcher seeing it as the smartest move at least for now. MM studied those videos of SB in captivity over and over. Think he was pretty sure the gas would subdue him so that must have added insult to injury when it failed so spectacularly especially with SB casual arrogance blowing smoke from the canister like a damn cigarette. What Starlight has done now isn't going to win her any friends. She has certainly made herself a target. I am now honestly worried about her surviving this hornets nest. And can we just take a second to applaud Antony's scene with his stronger self? It was chilling. I really would enjoy seeing Homelander stripped of his powers temporarily and having to deal with that pitiful human part of himself. Amazing episode and loved the depth of your reaction. John looked emotionally drained from watching the episode! Love you guys💜

while this episode had so many insane highlights - the herogasm orgy, Homelander's "talk" to himself, Deep f*cking the octopus, MM/Starlight team-up, the insanely well-done Homelander/Soldier Boy/Butcher/Hughie fight - the best and most powerful scene was the ending. "My name is Annie January and I fucking quit." YESSS!!!

I don't want to see it... but Hughie dying would be the catalyst to get everyone on the same page again. You can see Billy looking at him concerned when he wouldn't leave and was gonna sacrifice himself. Annie though mad would finally know she has to go all out if she's gonna take down the top. MM always cares for everyone and same as Annie he'd wanna band up again.
Can't kill him because Hughie is essentially the main main character of the whole Boys thing. Plus, hes the one who kills Butcher.
Hughie and Butcher are Homelander tier Strenght and Invulnerability, plus Hughie has teleportation and regeneration, so i doubt he will die at all, Butcher might die by season 4 as a wake up call to Hughie tho, nobody knows since this is a complete deviation from the comics.
I really want to see Hughie die (I know its unlikely) then I won't have to sit through another Starlight argument scene and Starlight can become a badass instead of a whiner.
@Dominic Toretto well Butcher here despite being still somewhat of a soab, hes way nicer and better person than in the comics, I mean in the comics hes just a fking psycho piece of crap who in the end is a way more evil person than Homelander, perhaps BN and malchemical are the only ones worse than him

The end of this episode proves Stan Edgar right. Homelander stepped on Starlight until she resisted him. Remember Homelander pulled Starlight onto the same platform socially as him. Starlight condemning Homelander will mean more since he made her his public girlfriend.
No Starlight had more public support that Homie which was why she got co-Captain. Her points pulled up Home (I didn't know she was a Nazi) lander
This is one of the best episodes of the the entire show, the emotional beats hit hard, the fight between homelander vs buther and soldier boy felt like Ironman vs cap and Bucky, nobody mentions how strong starlight or Annie is mentally. Overall a great episode.
Starlight was depraved in S2 so when she overcame it with Hughie's optimism in S2, it made her stronger. I love how the writers managed to organically weave Starlight's strong persona without making it preachy nor nonsense.
Honestly, the sex stuff wasnt THAT bad. The episode was incredible tho!

"Herogasm" part was definitely underwhelming & am glad it is ! The opening scene of this season already made us all uncomfy to such a point that in our heads we thought this ep's gonna be bonkers but they did surprise us with the Epic Fight Scene ! Feeling sorry for those who watch shows only for Sex Scenes lmao.
I think they overhyped it on purpose because they hyped herogasm but the real surprise was the fight we got and I'm completely fine with that

Thank god for this show, in this episode I got;
1. Butcher smiling with blood in his teeth while fighting Homelander.
2. Soldier Boy dragging Homelander's cape.
3. Homelander's face on the floor.
I hope Annie and MM start to get a plan beyond just taking the high road. Nothing they did affected anything, and the only reason Annie is able to come clean and quit The Seven is because Homelander has been taken down a peg. Without some kind of equalizer, her plans would just get more Alexs killed. If Butcher/Hughie and MM/Annie can get past their differences and work together they could have saved all of those people and had a better chance at stopping Homelander.
Butcher and Hughie are too far gone for all of them to work out their differences.
The last 15 minutes were balls to the wall awesome.
Actually seeing Homelander in a proper fight was worth the wait.
And Billy's bloody smile made me do the same.
Each episode keeps raising the bar.

Homelander against all of them!! That was insane. The fact homelander was able to push off all three specifically butcher and soldier boy really shows how strong he is. I honestly don’t think Homelander knows how truly strong he is since he’s never had to use his full strength before. Can’t wait for another match up.
They were really hyping up herogasm, but I'm so glad it still didn't take over the story for the episode, so many wonderful scenes and character moments, one of the best of the whole show.
The herogasm was different as I expected, but as Jensen Ackles said " Give them what they want, but not in the way they expect it".
Ps: the episode was incredible in my opinion.

@Koosh TNT twins powers weren't nullified by soldier boy. They were fighting and haven't used their powers for a long time, they probably weren't in sync and couldn't fully use their powers. Not that it would've mattered anyway.

They had him, but while SB was recharging, he probably weakened the temp V in the boys, while Homelander resisted it a bit more cuz he was born with it

This episode was hyped for all of the orgasmic content, but the actual meat of the episode was the crown jewel. So much critical stuff happened in this episode that can’t be undone. Homelander now knows that he can be killed. Even though it took three supes and he still got away, he had to actually try to survive and he still got bruised. That will eat away at him. He’s a “God” that was bruised by “mudpeople.” Huge blow to his ego.
Also A-Train killing Bluehawk gave me big Ultimates 2 Quicksilver vibes. I liked that he learned from his personal problems and actually empathized with Hughie. People criticize people who only care about problems once it affects them, but personally, I think it’s good for more empathy to happen even if it starts from a self-interested place. A lot of people can’t connect with something until they realize firsthand how it’s a problem. A-Train still a piece of shit though 😂
The scene that made me go WTF was A train performing a Kabal fatality on Blue Hawk. I was absolutely unprepared for that one.😩😩😩😩😩

Every episode I wonder how they elevate the show and storylines further, and every episode they just make things so much more insane I could ever imagine.
Also that Imagine video parody was so fucking funny
I knew something was up the way they were building up the orgy. I'm really glad this episode didn't consist of that whole arc, and gave us not just an insanely epic showdown but some absolutely fantastic charecter development. We got a nice amount of filth, and octopus sex, but what really stands out is everything else that happened outside of that. The writers of this show really know how to get you. I was satisfied seeing homelander at his most vulnerable, they've really made you hate that fucking guy so much that when that shit happened it felt so good! Same time however I was routing for homelander to get away, I don't want him to die yet. Soldier Boy is such a fun charecter as well.
Yeah, they really tricked us into thinking that this episode was going to be super sexed up but it was really tame. Everything else however was just awesome and balls to the walls.

@@jxchamb yeah, I mean at 27 years old, there was nothing in the herogasm scenes that particularly made me go "I can't believe they did that!!" it wasn't anything compared to what the mind sets up or what they could've done. I wasn't really phased, but It was amusing. The ice penis 😂 and at this point the part with the deep just made me roll my eyes, it was a real "Who else but the Deep?? 🤷♂️😉" moment. It was an absolute blast of an episode and is the turning point. After this, shit can only get worse and more chaotic and there's 2 more episodes to go yet! Homelander will become scarier and more dangerous than ever, which sets up a crazy 4th season

@@zackharris8373 I'm really stumped as to how this season is gonna end. They can't kill off Homelander but I also don't see how Homelander doesn't kill Butcher. But Butcher also can't die. Obviously Soldier Boy is gonna die horribly but everything else is a crapshoot.
Whatever this episode seems like at the surface...this basically shines a bright light on how the past torments almost all the major characters (Frenchie, Kimiko, MM, Hughie and even Himelander)..and how they all want regain control of their lives
This episode was probably my favorite of the season if not the whole series so far. The satire, the complex characters, the acting...SUPERBLY GENIUS. I don’t know what was more disturbing-the termite scene in S3E1 or the Herogasm
A-Train just did the Kabal fatality on Blue Hawk...
Anthony Starr is so amazing, he portrayed cockiness, true shock, animal instincts and true fear all in one fight scene!
The fact that we got one of the best character moments for A-Train during the midst of a massive orgy is wild. There aren't too many, if any shows at all that could pull that off and it feel totally natural.

One thing that’s crazy about homelander fight is that yes they bruised him… but that’s all they did, two very strong supes (and Hughie) were only to bruise him so who knows how much he could take. Also I really hope A-train is making a comeback because I really want a convo with him and his brother and A-train try to say something like how he got revenge and the brother to essentially awaken the good side in him

@@DubBossman1 The writers basically avoided the Vegeto vs. Buu mistake from DBZ in that the weapon they employed still didn't live up to its expectations fully, which leaves the suspense intact. Also, now that HL is clued in on both their plan and their firepower, and is the only one with the ability to fly he could strike at basically any moment.

I just loved it. The 3 on 1 fight scene was absolutely incredible. Finally there's someone who can kill Homelander. Yes this fight also proved me that Homelander is way much stronger than Soldier Boy. I mean he overpowered 3 of them.
I love how this episode showed the generational differences between the core beliefs of the superheroes. That line one of the twins said “you can’t even pay a lady a compliment” was so hilarious. And Soldier Boy of course embodies the “ideal American 🇺🇸 “ values of an older time period
He wasn’t way much stronger. He was still doing some damage and was taking hits from homelander as well. But I wouldnt say homelander is way much stronger.
Homelander is not stronger, he just has a bigger array of powers, he has flight, super strenght, invulnerability, regeneration, heat vision and super speed.
Soldier Boy has super reflexes, super strenght and invulnerability(+beam).
Butcher has super strenght, invulnerability and heat vision.
Hughie has super strenght, invulnerability, regeneration and teleportation.
All have an average of 3 powers while Homelander has 6...
He ran away. That doesn’t sound like way stronger to me.
Homie needs some fight training...when you've got Butcher & SB in the room you don't chase after Hughie.
That compound - V drug they're taking not only gives them powers, but it must make them top tier supes too?
How was Butcher and Huey able to fight Homelander like that? The whole reason of finding the "weapon", Soldier boy was because not even regular superheroes stood chance against Homelander. I hope they explain why Butcher was able to give Homelander the hands and stalemate his laser blast.

Honestly I felt kind of the same way, the sexual stuff was nowhere as extreme as I thought it was going to be. But the episode in of itself was the real meat and potatoes. The writing, fights, violence, 10/10

They didn’t overhype it what they did was distract us with herogasm so they could slap us all in the face with the Homelander Butcher Solider boy hughy fight sequence
Herogasm was us, the audience, cumming from that climax fight scene. They hyped, and boy did they deliver!
Butcher and Hughie were right and this episode proves it. They never were this close to defeating Homelander than this episode and it all thanks to Soldier Boy's help. Until Starlight actually creates a solution, I can't be on her side. They need to do everything they can to kill Homelander now, no matter the costs, before Homelander actually starts trying to dominate the world or destroy it.
I really hope this show doesn’t do the cheap and lazy thing of making MM and Annie right at the end after defeating Homelander using Butcher’s and Hughie’s methods. That would be lame. All Annie has done is put people in danger and got people killed because she has zero plan on how to get things done. She just has the platitudes with nothing to back it up. Her and MM’s platitudes rest on the foundation that Butcher and Hughie built.
@@Ren_Davis0531 Annie's character is important. If all the high level characters are assholes, it's hard to stay invested in the show. You need that moral center (not necessarily the main character) in order to create the hope and tension for the audience. Sometimes that makes them come off as naive in the writing, but it's part of their overall journey. Think Jon Snow or Robb Stark in Game of Thrones. They are critical to the balance of the show narratively even if their actions can be frustrating.

Yeah she is thematically important. Doesn’t change that she practically doesn’t contribute anything that would actually save anyone. So I really hope they don’t have Butcher, Hughie, and Soldier Boy do all the work, yet give the credit to Starlight because she took the moral high ground. That would feel cheap and unearned.
A big part of Jon and Robb’s arcs was how they were too naive and honorable in a cruel and complex world and that got them both killed. They didn’t get any easy wins or scenarios.

This was such a great episode. The fight between Homelander & Soldier Boy, Butcher, Hughie also reminded me of the fight from Infinity War, between Thanos & Iron Man, Spiderman and everyone else on planet Titan. Something about the way they pin Homelander down and he still manages to get away in the last second.

He'll lose his powers (even if temporary), but wont die. He's too important to the overall plot and I bet having him as a vulnerable human character in season 4 would be very interesting to watch.

The TNT Twins house is 5 mins from me! I used to drive by it all the time. One of my friends coworkers rented it out for a party a few years back. Crazy to see it get blown up.
This episode was phenomenal. Everything they’ve done this season has led to this crazy, frickin episode that had us laughing, cringing and cheering. As a huge Supernatural fan, it’s so good to see Jensen Ackles again with a little Dean Winchester-energy with the Soldier Boy-flare. So nervous for the last two episodes cause who knows what’s going to happen. Season 4 is going to have to unpack so much fallout from this season lol

Now I understand what mother's milk is going through but he has basically abandoned his child for Revenge, like revenge is more important than his own child, And he can't make an excuse and say that he knows that she is with a stable person I mean look at the stepfather. It’s appropriate that that this show is called Herogasm. Because the entire crew from the writers, to the actors are emptying the clip delivering the best damn superhero show on streaming rn. And in general, top tier television. The way this episode and the show overall balance the comedy, drama, action, suspense, and social commentary is masterful. The fight inside the mansion was fucking epic holy shit. Homelander channeling his best Willem Dafoe/Eckhart Two Face impression was hilarious, Antony killed it. A-Train went out (I hope) in the best way he possibly could. (And it’s how Reva should’ve gone honestly.) Cause there was no redemption for her actions, same with A-Train, but at least he got to kill that racist supe but not before apologizing to Hughie. I hope Maeve is okay, but prolly not. There isn’t a single wasted scene, the plot is either moving forward, or characters are being developed. Often both, and yet doesn’t rush. The episodes are an hour+ long. Disney needs to take notes. Starlight is no more. Let’s pray Annie January doesn’t end up like Maeve. Nina needs to go. And MM scene in the car was great. Wasn’t expecting Neuman to be neutral, but thankfully she is. A+ episode and season so far.

I want to talk shit about Disney or Marvel but one thing that disappointed me was that they ruined the endgame. It could've dark tone to it and also they never explained the consequences of erasing out half of the universe.

Then again the chronological order for all the new movies and shows releasing is so fuckin confusing and makes that shit 10 times worse
