Came back to watch this after the Avs were eliminated in round 1 last night. It sucks that there's no repeat, but we'll ALWAYS have this to remember. The most dominant, exciting run I've ever witnessed and I hope this team can run it back in 2024! Let's go Avs!!
Nice blast from the past seeing #19 lift that cup again after watching him do it live as a player (twice). Joe is about the same age as me. Hard to believe how fast time flies. Congrats and thanks to all the 'new guys' for winning that 3rd one in my life time. Some people never get to see their team win it all. Be thankful for these moments. 🙂
I was 16 years old when the avs won in 2001. I barely remember 1996 listening on am radio when I was 11 years old. This was one of the best runs I can imagine. From helms 5 second left goal, to kadris hat trick, mackinnons end to end rush.... it was so fun to watch
@@Sunedosa Burky got injured blocking a shot. Naz got hit from behind during the Oilers game 3 from Kane. Someone mentioned if you look close at game 6 during the handshake Naz's thumb was bleeding.

This was so damn exciting!!!!!! My favorite finals since my Caps in 2018. Definitely loved seeing McKinnon and Company raise it together!!!! Seeing Sakic raise it as a GM was incredible too!!!! I seen him do it as a player in 01, so it was even more awesome as a GM!!!!
The handshake tradition is amazing and professional. Smash a guy into the boards - three minutes later - friends for life. Hockey isn't wasn't used to be, but gladiators anyway.
This was amazing! Last minut was so intence. I've even called on the kids to see this moment. And when the horn sounded, I guess I sheerd first, but after that burst out in theers. And my kids saying: "Dad's crying". What a moment, finally!
Watching this And Joe Sakic our greatests Captain. #19 tallking about our current CAP and not knowing that this was Landeskog last shift and literally laid it all on the line is special and sad . We miss you, our Captain. OHH Captain OUR CAPTAIN.
Got to give credit to Tampa Bay they fought as hard as they did. But they always say when you play against the best you got beaten by the best and that was the Colorado Avalanche being the best team.
Something along the lines of great series, you guys earned it, - cooper beds responded you guys have been here and an inspiration. You can actually find video of it
I swear, Calgary fans will never stop crying over the 2004 puck thing. No matter how many times it is disproven, they will whine more than the Bolts did in game 6.
"They've reached the summit" hits so very hard in this clip as an Avalanche fan. What a fantastic call.
Yes it does.
The Lightning have a great team - it’s too bad Cooper is such a whiner and litigates every call.

Watching Kucherov throw his gloves at the equipment guy makes this an instant classic hockey vid.

He could've received Palat's pass and had one more rush
