Inspiration behind this video:
The co-creator of Ms. Marvel, Sana Amanat, has spoken about the “intense” pressure she feels in bringing the character to life in the upcoming Disney+ show. Ms. Marvel follows Kamala Khan, a Muslim teenager living in New Jersey, who idolises the heroes of the Marvel Universe. Kamala is gifted with polymorphous, transformative powers and takes up her destiny as a young superhero. Ms. Marvel will star debuting actress Iman Vellani in a story penned by Loki’s Bisha K. Ali and co-created under the supervision of Amanat.
Amanat co-created the original comic book character back in 2015. Ms. Marvel has since become one of Marvel comics’ most popular new heroes, with appearances in cartoons and video games such as Marvel’s Avengers in recent years. Kamala Khan’s relatability and vulnerability, paired with her immense power and heroism, have helped the character standout and become as iconic to new comics readers as Spider-Man and The Fantastic Four. Alongside helming the original comics run, Amanat has also worked on the animated Marvel Rising shorts, which highlighted some of the universe’s lesser known and newer heroes.

No official release date but it's scheduled to premiere sometime during mid 2022. It'll have 6 episodes, and will set up Kamala's place for Captain Marvel 2. Hope that answers your question!

Tbh I’m really excited for this show, Ms. Marvel aka Kamala has quickly become one of my favorite marvel characters since the first time I read her story, but now I’m hearing that they’re changing her power set to make her more like a green lantern in powers than her normal embiggining and shrinking and healing and especially the fact that she can change her appearance. One of the things that made Kamala so iconic for me was the fact that she felt so much like carol danvers was perfect and she wasn’t that she became Carol when she first got her powers and then she learned to find her own strength and beauty and love herself and become her own separate entity that was just her spoke to me on so many levels and I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. Getting rid of those powers is doing her character a major injustice
I hope you’re wrong about them changing her powers. Her comics are probably one of the best Marvel Comics I’ve ever read. I don’t know why Kamala gets so much hate
Do you think they changed her powers due to a series budget to save on FX, or because there is a FF movie in the works, and they wanted to make her different from Reed Richards?
@@jimtilley1158 Honestly I'd prefer if they didn't make a show for Ms Marvel. Why not make a new character with those powers? Or use existing heroes in the comics with similar powers? Honestly feels like they just want to make the show for racial reasons.

black widow could have been a great movie possibly the greatest but there were no stakes and the characters were brand.

What was Kevin Feige thinking of making this? Honestly, I don't think it's a good idea to bring in Ms. Marvel in the MCU, considering that she was a poorly written character in the comics. So far, Marvel is trying their best to make us like her for all the times she has shown up in cartoons and video games. And now, in the MCU, instead of having the powers she had in the comics, they decided to give her Green Lantern powers, and she has her version of the spider-sense. It just feels like now the MCU is political correctness and feminism because more female characters are going to show up to replace almost every male character.
